Wonderful experience! Our chicken salad BLT& Country Omelet were absolutely delicious! Service was speedy and very friendly. Place was quaint, clean and had a «small town» feel. Also one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

Great place to eat, in town from California and I wish I had a great breakfast spot in my area like this one. Food great location great kinda hard to see from the front though.

Had breakfast there this morning, they make real old fashioned home fries, not frozen bag fries! The place is a quaint friendly neighborhood diner. What a pleasure to sit and eat and be able to hear yourself think! Service is good, the waitress has a great sense of humor and is quick with a joke. The food was GREAT!!! I had the Mexican omelet my buddy had french toast and porkroll. The omelet was done to a turn, fluffy and very tasty, and accompanied by the aforementioned home fries. and washed down with a few cups of good coffee. If you’re looking for a cozy place for breakfast or lunch, this is your place, a walk into another time before noise and tv screens in your face. Tell them The Patriarch sent you!

Found them via Unilocal.Read reviews decided to check them out. I was not disappointed! From the moment i walked in. A smile welcomed me in. Explained to the waitress about my special diet, she helped me pick something off the menu and we decided on the«fly with me «omelette! OMG! Very delicious! Couldn’t speak for the next few seconds. Thats how delicious that omelette is. I highly recommend

This place is absolute craphole. My review is for possible visitors or tourists in the area. The locals have no other place to go I guess. I was there attending a wedding and stayed at Hilton Double Tree nearby. We all went out for breakfast. This is a pretty rundown breakfast joint. We would have left but didn’t want to be late as so many people had to dress up. The waitress was very nice and sweet. Placed the order. I immediately noticed the guy preparing the food was touching everything(food) with his hands. He is sweating as well. Everything was getting mixed up as he has small grill and he is cooking everything in one area. Some of us were vegetarians and some not but none of us have bacon. Making long story short the place is filthy. Unhygienic condition. Food being touched with bare hands AND… 4 of us ended up with bacon in our sandwiches. 2 got lucky but no one liked the food. A major flop. I eat at casual places all the time but this was really really bad. Wouldn’t eat there even if someone was buying me breakfast there. Attached is the picture if bacon I got in my sandwich so you guys know I’m not making it up.

Dropped off the car to be serviced at AAA nearby and was looking for a yummy/inexpensive place to grab breakfast with the hubby. This place was close and had good Unilocal reviews so we gave it a try, good choice. Service was friendly and prompt. I had the corned beef hash with eggs and potatoes, excellent. Hot sauce, excellent. Toast, toast is toast ya know. Coffee good. Orange juice, meh. My husband got the blueberry pancakes which I had a bite of and they were excellent. We were very happy, great find. I’d want to go here regularly if it weren’t 25 mins from my house. Parking is in the back FYI.

I enjoyed my time at Rise N Shine. Pancakes were delicious and staff was really friendly. Home fries and toast were good too. Scrambled eggs with cheese were ok, nothing fancy. I do like the counter setup which provides for a more connected experience.

Looking for a place on Unilocal to go for breakfast. a real, night after a wedding in Long Branch, kinda breakfast. and I stumbled upon this place. Definitely made the right choice! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly face who told us to sit wherever we wanted. There were a few people sitting at the counter, other than that it was just us, but it was also 11AM on a Monday. We immediately got coffees, water and juice. I ordered the Mexican omelet(spicy jalapeño goodness) cause I am a sucker for salsa and eggs. My husband, the Tennessee boy, ordered the Southern biscuits and gravy(real sausage gravy) with 2 eggs over easy. WOW. neither of us were dissapointed, and nether of us left a single bite on our plates(we basically licked the plates clean). So so yummy, esp the gravy. When you aren’t from the south. trying to make a staple southern dish can be tricky, but these guys had no problems or complaints from us! Prices were right, service was great and the meal was so delicious! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop in for more!

Blueberry pancakes were so disappointing. Frozen, shriveled, sad little blue rocks in flat, cheap pancakes. Not impressed. Will not return.

We went here for a late breakfast on a Saturday. Daughter ordered the sausage biscuit gravy with 2 poached eggs with a side of hot sauce and loved it. I ordered the blueberries pancakes and thought it was ok. I loved the blueberries stuffed in the pancake. Hubs had the vegetable omelet and thought it was ok. Service was very friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

This is a classic home town feeling restaurant. Was greeted by a friendly and welcoming environment and served a wonderful breakfast. I don’t usually write reviews but this place deserves a great review.

4.5 stars Had the sausage gravy and biscuits(zomg, i want them again right now), homefries and coffee for breakfast & it was a win! A quaint, cute, luncheonette that time forgot, this place would be a regular spot for me if I lived nearby. Good service too ;)

This place is such a wonderful experience. Sal is so welcoming and genuinely sweet we almost didn’t want to leave. My family and I went on a weekend getaway and we wanted real breakfast not fast food. The food was amazing from my coffee to the French toast, my kids loved their food and even my husband. The waitress(I didn’t catch her name) was so attentive checking in with us making sure we had what we needed. We went for breakfast two mornings in a row and almost wanted to extend our trip just to go a third morning. Sal knows who comes in and greets everyone with a smile. We will definitely be back anytime we are in the area and I will recommend this spot to anyone I know. It’s always great to meet people and they leave such a positive impression. Just a great place.

It takes a lot for me to take the time to write reviews at all. This place is fantastic and the cook, Sal is extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious and fairly priced

I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy even though the picture did not look to appealing. And thank goodness, the biscuits were cooked softly with the sausage gravy smothering them all over. Added some over medium eggs to top it off. Also at the table we had blueberry pancakes that were cooked as good as my mother would have made them. Bacon was large and a good crisp. Not flaky oily like. Server had a genuine smile and good recommendations while being attentive with most of the tables occupied. We found this through Unilocal and will definitely return.

Good place to have breakfast or omelet. They also serve sandwiches and burgers but they’re known for their breakfast. We came on a Saturday at 11:00 am. It was busy and fairly crowded. There’s one cook(the owner Sal) and a waitress. Food was pretty good considering it was busy and there’s just one cook. Locals all go there. I’ve been there before when it wasn’t as busy. Fair value for pretty good food.

This little place is a a great little treasure! I always pass this place on my way to work and have never gone there before. I took a friend there for breakfast and had a great meal! I had the french toast short stack and my friend had the country omelette. Both were great, not greasy like the other places make them. The french toast were crunchy and creamy, the omelette wasn’t like those big fluffy ones, but it’s was a tasty dish that comes with home fries and toast. I order the sausage gravy biscuits with two sunny side to take home, which was great(split among four people)! Light, creamy, perfectly spiced, Big chunks of sausage that were tender(not hard bits of rubber), and gives you that satisfying full feeling(well I had french toast before so, feeling even fuller.) Great service! Friendly staff! What else can you ask for?
