Where on God’s green Earth has Wawa been all my life? Well, it hasn’t been in Arizona, that’s for sure. And the fact that Wawa is so damn good makes me want to move to New Jersey/​surrounding areas for that only reason.
A bit of backstory– my boyfriend is a Philadelphia/​Jersey native, and for the longest time he would always heckle me about how no place in Arizona (whether a Subway or other similar sandwich joint) could make anything even remotely close to a Wawa sandwich. And until we went on our first Philly trip (staying in Voorhees), I claimed this was just bull. Yeah. No. I quickly found out that going on midnight «Wawa runs» would be something I treasured.
They legitimately have NOTHING like this in Arizona. A place where you can walk in at any hour of the day and order food, and have a convenience mart at the same time? This might sound completely ridiculous that I’m raving about this, but come to the Valley of the Sun and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.
Let me tell you, those little Wawa kiosks you see when you open the door are nothing but a sight for sore eyes. Knowing that when I order a 10″ turkey and american cheese sandwich with extra mayo, that I damn well am going to get extra mayo– it’s like heaven. The bread used for Wawa sandwiches (also another thing my boyfriend raved about) is so good– something about the hard water, whatever. The American cheese is fresh and, without using another word to explain it adequately, moist. And like I said, when you order an sandwich with extra mayo, the employees here know how to do it right.
Aside from these forsaken sandwiches, the employees are really nice at this Wawa location. They always seem to have their items in stock, and shelves are always organized properly. We also never have to wait in line too long. FYI, I now crave Wawa sandwiches from almost 3,000 miles away.

Great staff super friendly and always willing to help. This is a wawa where the workers take pride in their job as well as their customers. I would recommend this store to others.
