We family camp in a large cabin tent often and we prefer a campground with nice facilities. Patoka Lake is exactly that. The sites tend to be more geared for RV’s but you’ll find some great sites for tents too. They have excellent bathroom and shower house facilities that are kept very clean. There is plenty to do here too including, a nature center, hiking trails, miles of paved bike paths, an archery range and a disc golf course. We had a great time here. I would advise purchasing firewood and other items at Patoka Station just outside the gate instead of the camp store as the camp store is expensive.
