Sure its a lil divey… They have soda in a can… But srsly ordered a chimichanga and it was amazing. Me and my muffin had a little lunch for 10.90! She had two quesadillas. Will be back for another round.

Nothing too amazing. Thought it would be a little more exciting based on some of the reviews here. Maybe I’ve been too spoiled with the real stuff in Southwest Detroit. I went in, was the only one there besides the workers. They were nice and friendly. Décor was horribly dated and slighty soiled/faded. For $ 9.50 I got a combination plate. Chips & salsa were alright, nothing out of ordinary. Combination was pretty good… again for Americanized Mexican, it all tastes the same no matter where you get it. Tamale was great though. Menu has your typical tacos/enchiladas/burritos with ground beef. Never saw a «pastor» on the menu, though there was menudo and chorizo.

This place is pure hole in the wall, and the food matches.

Not authentic nothing less than fantastic!!! Ask for the green salsa, it’s extra but worth it!

I am a huge fan of Mexican food. I am also a huge fan of Paco’s Tacos. If you’re looking for hardcore authentic Mexican food, this isn’t the place, however, it’s not low quality Taco Bell junk either. They have excellent chips and salsa at your table right away, and a variety of combination platters that give you a little bit of everything. You really can’t beat getting a platter with your choice of a combination of tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. for about 6 bucks. They have a great selection and you get tons of food, but it’s definitely not quantity over quality. Good food, super fast service and you will definitely leave full and with leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch.

This place opened a few years ago and is on the corner of the street where my mother lives. Prior to this place opening up, we would go to Taco Especial for our Mexican food needs. Paco’s, however, has proved to be a closer reliable alternative to Taco E. The menu and food’s taste is very similar to the Taco E that I grew up with. It just seems that they are a little more inconsistent. The food tastes remarkably similar in taste and design though. I even think they call the big burrito I get a burrito grande. I normally get takeout, but I have ate inside one time. The service was fine. When you order takeout they are pretty quick, accurate and thorough. Anyway, it is a great place to go for some quick and tasty Mexican food if you are in the Corse for some reason.

My first encounter with Paco’s Tacos was on Saturday of the 2008 Cinco de Mayo festival in Clark Park. It was cold, dark, and wet, but the people were so nice, and the tacos de carnitas were so incredible, that I came back the next day. And, I’m glad I did, because Sunday was a real party. Since they’re located in Ecorse, making them the farthest taqueria for me, I hadn’t gotten the chance to visit their actual restaurant, but had dreamed about it since May 2008. And, last Friday, I finally got my chance. After work, we stopped by Riverside Park, and then drove Jefferson from Clark, where it starts on the other side of the port, for about five miles. After driving next to treatment plants, mills, foundries, and sundry industrial operations, we finally arrived at Paco’s Tacos. The inside is my favorite of all of the Mexican restaurants, although it almost has a more Central or South American feel. And, they have the menu pictures on the wall, like Lupita’s. The carnitas were good, but the real highlight was something I didn’t know about until we got there — incredible fish tacos for $ 1 each. They don’t have horchata, but their ten flavors of Jarritos(I went with the pineapple) makes up for it. And, their chicken botana is excellent as well. A little bit of a hike, but def worth it, esp for the fish tacos. And, the people are super nice — some of the best at any restaurant.
