Game Central

Although my review is really for the Game Central location in the Southdale Mall, this was this closest Game Central I was allowed to comment on. So G.C. Eden Prairie, please pass on my kudos to the other store.
Game Central Southdale provided excellent customer service at a minimal charge and wait time. My son had a very expensive video game that had a number of scratches on it. Other places we went and people we consulted about repairing the disc told us we would need to replace the game altogether. This would cost $ 40.00. Another option told us, was that we could buy a disk repair system which is very expensive, but «would pay for itself over time.» I was not wanting to make that investment and have a part-​time job repairing family and friends dvd’s, blu-​rays, video games, or cd’s.
After numerous calls and time spent perusing the interweb, I found Game Central. They have great hours of operation due in large part to their location inside a large, popular mall. We took my son’s disk in and 5 minutes later they had it looking brand new for a grand total of $ 3.22. We were sent away with a promise that if the disk still skipped or there was any type of problem, to bring it back it.
So: 1. Great prices.
2. Fixed the issue
3. Did not try to sell other products or games :)
4. Short wait time

I will return to shop for my son’s gaming needs. I think any store that doesn’t pressure you to by a new disk, or sell you something you do not need, but on the contrary, uses honesty as a business practice, is a place that deserves my money. They’ve earned my respect and made my kid pretty happy :)!
