Heard their meats are straight from NY! Anyway, everyone’s talked about their ginormous sandwiches so I’m gona talk about the atmosphere. As one mentioned, it felt cafeteria-like. Sorta true if you think you’re still in school! So they have these tables located in. kind of like an extended sunroom overlooking a small lake /pond with trees and such. I like it a lot. Especially if you’re on your lunch break and you just want to look at something else besides computer screens and the cubicle wall. This place gets pretty packed during lunch so come in early. I also think they close late. Finally, split your sandwich and try out their unlimited picked tomatoes and their one-of-a-kind coleslaw!

I used to live within walking distance to this place and gained 10 pounds during the span. As the other posts have said, not only is everything they serve huge, but it’s also all homemade. I have enjoyed getting two lunches out of many a sandwich. I have also gotten addicted to their homemade meat loaf and mash potatoes, matzo ball soup and a cheese cake that is to die for. You know you have real cheese cake when you pick it up and immediately have to slide you hand under the plate because of it’s sheer weight, They serve it strait up, no sauce or fruit, but it doesn’t need any. It was the most firm and time consuming piece of cheese cake I have ever eaten. I actually special ordered a whole cake for a potluck I was going to and was worried if the shocks in my truck could handle weight. I made it, and it was the hit of the desert table. I also went therefore breakfast one time, because I heard they made homemade corned beef hash. This is true, it was homemade, but they used the same thin sliced corned beef they use for sandwiches. Although very tasty, the corned beef was dried out from being fried with the potatoes and onions. I enjoyed it for the flavor but decided I probably would not have it again. I have also been told from another customer that the corn beef and pastrami are both made on site. It makes sense given that everything else including the pickles in the pickle bar is. No confirmations from the staff though. If you like an east coast style deli, this place is hard to beat.

How can a place with one of the worst logos and ugliest interior color schemes i’ve ever seen in my entire life have some of the best deli sandwiches I’ve eaten in my entire life? Who gives a crap? I’ve dragged several of my friends down the comedy/tragedy that is 62⁄212 only to toss them up high in the air and straight into the loving meaty arms of glorious Pastrami Jack… s. Pastrami Jacks. I typically order the Hot Pastrami or the Hot Corned Beef on Rye(with a side of their potato salad) and upon ordering head immediately for the FREEPICKLEBAR. Are you KIDDINGME? Bite-size pickle chunks free for the taking — in the half sour and full sour varieties. I still can’t figure out which I like better but I guarantee I’m going to eat the sweet crap out of those pickles until my sandwich arrives. I believe there is also coleslaw and perhaps salad too but I’m usually so blinded by the free pickles that I lose track of where I’m at. The service here is a gamble. Usually I get my food pretty quickly and I’ve never been disappointed with an order. The problem lies in the table service after you get the food. Refills are rarely a priority for servers at this place — they might eliminate that problem by making the soda self-serve. Please? I’m wimpy, pale and generally a waste of time to be around — so I often grapple with texture issues when it comes to food. I’ve barely scratched the surface when it comes to the meat options here(TONGUE!) but I was able to choke down some of the rare roast beef on the infamous«Lenny Bruce» which brought me deliciously and dangerously close to gagging. This is not a negative against P. Jacks as the rare roast beef tastes delicious. Its more of a heads up for people that have problems with certain slimy/overly chewy textures like myself(i.e. Tako sushi makes me gag) and aren’t accustomed to eating such delicacies. Price wise you’re looking at $ 10 – 15 for lunch easy. Which might seem expensive anywhere else but these guys pack your insides so full of delicious meat you’ll want to hand them your wallet on the way out the door. If you can stomach the trip out to Eden Prairie — this place is highly recommended. If you want cheese on your sandwich you’re gonna have to ask for it. There’s brown mustard on the table and a smile on your soon-to-be-meat-stuffed face. Oh and there’s probably a vegetarian option or whatever.

I was here last fall with a buddy of mine. It’s a little mom and pop shop in a strip mall in Eden Prairie. It has a decidedly cafeteria feel, but that’s not why you go here. Pastrami Jack’s serves sandwiches. BIG, giNORmous sandwiches. The size of your head is a good analogy. So is the size of a small country. A small, MOUNTAINOUS country. Imagine the first couple layers of a Dagwood sandwich, but with only two slices of bread. My buddy and I split a Jack’s Reuben without needing more. And we both have sizable appetites. They are expensive, but not for what you get. You get the huge sandwich, fries, and cole slaw. Make sure you check out their pickle bar. They have a bunch of different kinds of pickles to try and they’re all really good. When you walk in, be prepared to roll out.

sandwiches the size of your head. Jewish style delicatessan style sandwiches. The atmosphere could use some work but the sandwiches are perfect. Give it a shot.
