Subway

Your standard Subway, but very near many large hotel properties at this interstate exist. Got sandwiches f r I’m here shortly before they closed and veggies were all still very fresh and in great shape… which is not always true at other sub shops. Thanks to the staff!

Have you ever wanted to eat lunch and be depressed at the same time? Then boy oh boy, I have a place for you! Like riding a bus at night in January or realizing you ate gas station hot dogs for five meals in a row there is a special je né sais quio about this places that makes me regret my life choices.
In summary, it’s subway, it’s alright, but you aren’t walking in innocent.

I used to go to the Subway on Flying Cloud fairly frequently, but have since moved to other Subways when I have a craving for that specific Subway sandwich flavor. Why? Because this Subway doesn’t have Sandwich Artists so much as Sandwich Fingerpainters.
Don’t get me wrong, I have tried to adapt my ordering to match their skill level. When I would say, «everything, no tomato» and they would stop before getting to the hot peppers and olives and such, I started saying «absolutely everything except tomatoes.» When that didn’t work, I moved to, «no tomatoes, but everything else including all the hot peppers.» I’d even get my hands into it, demonstrating my desire to have ALLLLLLLL the veggie goodness available. Except tomatoes. Y’know, just go on down your line and stick your hand into every available vat, then put those things on my sandwich. But you can skip the tomato vat. Just that one. ONLY THAT ONE.
On my very last visit, when the person behind the counter was SO CLOSE as they had put everything on except for spinach, I didn’t even bother mentioning it. It just got OLD when this sort of thing happened every single time, no matter who was behind the counter.
So now, instead of stopping immediately after leaving work before driving home, I drive home and walk to one of three locations that are within a mile of my apartment. And I get the bonus of burning off my sandwich in the process.

For some reason I am always disappointed when I go here. Environment seems cold and staff is cranky or not interested in serving you. They are always doing tasks of cleaning up or preparing and you are secondary to those tasks.
Standard Subway and food is consistent.
