I love this Twin Cities company! Since moving out of Minnesota I’ve resorted to ordering Tea Source loose leaf tea via their online shop, but when we’re back in town, I love stopping in to restock and snag a hot cup of tea to go while I’m at it. My favorite part about visiting Tea Source in person, is that the staff are so friendly and willing to talk with you about the various teas. They’re also not at all condescending if you’re looking to learn about new tea or mix-ins. Not to mention, the prices aren’t outrageous like other craft tea shops and they don’t use artificial flavorings! Seriously, that no artificial flavorings thing is a big BIG deal for me. Thank you Tea Source for not straying from the most important characteristic of tea — it’s health benefits.

Nice shop and simple vibe. Though, I just watched the guy working behind the counter sneeze(uncovered) at the counter and just go on like that was normal hygiene practice. Ugh, may hang out elsewhere…

This was my first visit to a TeaSource. The Eden Prairie location is very spacious and the staff is very friendly. The store environment is relaxed and peaceful to walk around on a Sunday Afternoon. I knew going in what specific tea I was looking for. I wanted ‘Evening in Missoula’ which is their most popular herbal tea. I also asked if they had any of the delicious herbal tea available by the cup. They didn’t but the staff was very nice in offering and making me a small 20 oz cup of tea. The brew took 5 min which gave me time to checkout the store and have another employee check me out at the register. At the register they offered me a free sample of another herbal tea to try called ‘Herbal Root’. They also stamped and gave me a TeaSource frequent drinker card that gives you your 13th cup free. Overall I was very impressed with my first experience at TeaSource. I’ve typically gone to other competitors for my lose leaf tea however I haven’t experienced such a relaxed place with non intrusive staff like TeaSource. I would defiantly recommend TeaSource to a friend and also give the ‘Evening in Missoula’ a try and you won’t be disappointed. One more thing… keep an eye out for TeaSource teas in select restaurants around the Twin Cities area. I first tried ‘Evening in Missoula’ at Pizza Luce in Richfield.

I’ve been to TeaSource a handful of times now, and have enjoyed every visit. The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and they are a local company. If your new to loose leaf teas or if you enjoy trying different teas, I recommend going on a Tuesday or Thursday and trying their flight of teas – five sample cups of tea at a very reasonable price – the selection varies each day, and the teas featured are also on sale for bulk purchase. The service is great. On one past visit, I had a horrible cold. I went in, and asked the woman working there what would be best for my sore throat. She recommended an excellent green tea which helped power me through the rest of the work day. On my visit today, I purchased some tea as a gift for my Dad, and the woman working provided me with free samples of teas recommended based on my purchases – I look forward to trying them! In addition to the brewed tea and the tea leafs, there is also a decent selection of tea accessories(tea pots, kettles, tea cozys, etc). I have yet to purchase any of the accessories, but wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up buying some in the near future.

Alright teas, just wish the quality was a little better. I liked their tea tasting policy and some of the staff was really friendly.
