This was the most memorable B&B stay of my life. The charm of the owners was only exceeded by the exquisite quality of the gourmet cuisine. Our room was a stylish romantic theme with modern conveniences subtly blended into the quaint charm. I can not wait to return again! Thank you to the owners, Don & Diane, for making us feel so welcome and for so many amazing meals.

Our daughters and their significant others spent the weekend at this charming bed and breakfast.,. We then had a private dinner birthday party for my husband in the small dining room . We began the evening on the porch with prosecco and home cured salmon. Dinner was not easy since our family consists of a strident vegetarian(you can’t say chicken in her presence), a gluten free person who won’t eat fish or sea food, mushrooms or spinach, a diabetic, and two non meat eaters. To make up for this, three family members will eat anything. First course was spring vegetable risotto, next ratatouille with a side of roast chicken breast for the meat eaters, then salad. Dessert was house made mango sorbet, and a ten layer chocolate cake made by Donna the baker. Everything was delicious. After dinner we sat in the parlor and played games. A perfect evening thanks to our hosts Diane(the chef) and Don.

This place is amazing! We went for the BBQ weekend escape class with a Living Social deal. The Innskeepers are amazing people and treated us like gold. The breakfasts they made were true southern cooking and delicious! The BBQ class was super cool, and they hosted an awesome BBQ rib dinner with our rack that we prepared during the class. The décor in the house was very festive and the rooms were clean. Please don’t hesitate to go!

What a great place Captain’s Quarters Inn is! I have stayed in this lovely bed and breakfast three times as I travel for business in the region. I have had the opportunity to stay 3 different rooms and they all have their own unique touches. Each night, I have had a peaceful night’s sleep on a comfortable bed. I have found each room very clean and homey. There is free wifi, so I can sit back and work or cruise the Internet. I also enjoy sitting on the large wrap around front porch talking with other guests about their travels and their reason for visiting this quaint and charming historical town. The innkeepers, Don and Diane, are very friendly and always welcome me here late in the afternoon with a glass of wine. There are always cookies and lemonade for a snack and hot coffee upstairs in the hallway for those that have to have that morning c

I booked at the very last minute(same day, enroute from Raleigh, NC) and there was a room left for us. My daughter and I loved our room– it was a happy shade of light yellow. There were fresh cookies and lemonade on the table by the check-in desk and the inn keepers were so wonderful and helped us plan some of our trip to the Outer Banks. The house itself is beautiful and has a very welcoming, huge front porch. We enjoyed some evening time out there on the porch swing. Our room was very comfortable– we had a queen and a twin– and the bathroom was huge. The shower had a waterfall head which was awesome! Breakfast the next morning was fresh– with cherry tomatoes from their plants out front, fresh basil from their herb garden and sausage that was homemade! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay again when we return to the area. Thanks for our wonderful stay!!! :)

Quaint and comfy. This little b & b was part of a road trip we took on our way home from Charleston. A historic town with absolutely gorgeous restored homes it is really sweet. The owners of this place are so hospitable, generous and great cooks! We only stayed one night so didn’t have a chance to enjoy all the facilities like the gorgeous wrap around porch or freshly baked cookies however we did sleep really well in our sweetly decorated room and the home cooked breakfast the next morning was delicious! With freshly squeezed juice, scrambled eggs with shitake mushrooms and home made hash brown — divine! Highly recommend this cute little spot if you want to explore this area and be treated to wonderful hospitality.

My boyfriend and I went here for a weekend getaway. Stayed there for 2 nights. Stayed in the captain of her heart room. It is the largest and thus the priciest room that they have. If you are particular about the size of your bathroom, then this is should be your choice. The bathroom is large with 2 sinks, a jacuzzi(they didn’t do a good job a cleaning the calcium buildup in the jets though), and a walk in shower. Breakfast is from 7 to 9 I believe and is cooked by the hostess and is truly scrumptious. The inn is located within walking distance of downtown, waterfront, and all the historical sites. So it is conveniently situated. Please be aware that because this is such a small town, restaurants are closed on Sunday’s in the downtown area. So for lunch and dinner, you only have two choices that I found. Nothing fancy for lunch(great food!) and chicken kitchen for dinner. Do not care for the chicken kitchen but was the only thing open till 8. This lovely town definitely deserve the title«the prettiest little town» in nc.
