This is not exactly a four star liquor store but it IS the best liquor store in Edgewater and that’s why I’m rating it so highly. It’s by no means a place you’d come to if you weren’t already in the area. That being said, if you’re in Edgewater and wondering which of the 3 liquor stores you should go to, it’s this one. The prices are comparable to Depew and cheaper than Sloan’s Lake. They have a much better beer selection than the others and from the looks of it a better wine selection as well.

A bit on the shady side after dark but A-OK if you are in the area and need to pop in for a 6 pack — this place will work. The cashier was very nice as well.

It’s a great location with a poor selection. Didn’t carry Heineken or Leinenkugel

Like Kate said, this has a decent selection of wines that don’t hurt the wallet too much. I’ve been frequenting this store for about five years now, and the staff has been very helpful and welcoming. They often have some Al Jazeera on the tv or some farsi yoga, which the men watch while sipping strong Ethiopian coffee on a Saturday evening, which is entertaining. The clientele runs between homeless folks from across the street(Sloans Lake) buying 40’s, blue collar Joes buying their suitcase of Bud Light cans, and reluctant hipsters like myself buying some decent organic wine for less than $ 13 a bottle. I’m actually surprised that they don’t get robbed more often, given the proximity to what I consider a pretty shady intersection of Sheridan and Colfax, but I’ve never felt unsafe in here. Not your typical overpriced corner liquor store selling Mad Dog 20⁄20 to the bums.

This is not my neighborhood liquor store, but my friends are renovating a house off Sloan’s Lake… resulting in many, many, many visits to this booze shop. It’s right in the front of the Target parking lot off Sheridan and has a huge selection, including many clearance and discounted wines. The staff is not friendly per se, but not creepy either. My biggest peeve here is the booze is stacked so high that I feel like I’m going to knock a case over when I walk around. However, it’s much bigger and cleaner than many of the other options nearby — at least double the stock of Highlands Liquor and less expensive as well.
