There is some serious, authentic, and downright delicious food to be found at Kabob House. I picked up a hummus and falafel wrap and some fantastic imported baklava(arriving just yesterday from Lebanon) and could not be more pleased with the quality. There’s a clear respect for food going on here. Not a fancy spot, but that only adds to the experience. Bottom line, this is a place to check out.

We always enjoy coming here the food is awsome but what makes it special is the owner who always brings us samples and new things to try. We don’t even order anymore he just serves us what he wants. We love it.

Up until a few months ago this used to be a decent Greek place, not great. Just a place to get some sort of fix for what i am missing. I am used to Greek gyros being filled with flavor and succulent/slightly crisp meat flowing out of the pita… For less than these guys charge. So if you are ever in Flushing, NY(Queens) go to Gyro World! On two different occasions I asked for the works for toppings and asked that the gyro meat be crisp. Both times the guy who took my order would repeat exactly what I said, but when the order came it was a bust. A few pieces(6 tiny slivers) of flaccid meat and a little bit of lettuce and tomato… Not what I ordered.

Not sure why they have such high reviews. It could be because there aren’t many other good options for middle eastern food in/near Annapolis, MD. The kebabs were super dry and too well done. The bread and hummus was okay. Tasted like store bought. Grape leaves were dripping with oil and did not taste right. You may like eating here if you haven’t tried authentic mediterranean/middle eastern cuisine elsewhere. Food was prepared fresh and would work in a pinch. Restaurant is hard to find. It’s next to a big liquor store if you are looking.

Very fresh and delicious Mediterranean food. Even if you want to eat healthy you can here. They do have great subs. I get the chicken kabob meal with salad, hummus and green beans.

This is a hidden gem just like Edgewater Restaurant. The food is beyond fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Great way to grab a carry out dinner that is delicious and healthy! The owner prepares the food there and you can see how immaculate the entire area is. I ordered food for my friends that had recently lost a family member and they absolutely loved it too. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

My new place. My girl brought home salmon and a cheese steak. The salmon was amazing and the steak and cheese was awesome. I’ll definitely be back exploring more of the menu

Kabob is good. Felafel is good. Hummus is excellent. Tender stuffed grape leaves. Cucumber yogurt sauce was very good. All this guy needs is a little polishing. Yes it is for the most part a carry out. I didn’t expect what I got. Pleasantly surprised. Maybe a little butter for the rice. A little sumac on the table. The owner is very nice. Good lunch. I’ll be back.

We got delivery… I got the chicken kabob and Greek salad with taboleh, falafel and fries and hubby got the mixed kabob with grape leaves and falafel. We also shared baklava. The tabuleh was all parsley and seriously maybe a teaspoon of couscous… Chicken was ok, a little dry. French fries were soggy, falafel was good as well as their yogurt sauce. Greek salad was nothing special. Hubby did not like the grape leaves. Baklava was reallllly dry… I make homemade baklava and know it’s supposed to be drenched in honey! overall, not impressed and won’t be eating here again.

Decided to venture out and try some of Edgewater, Maryland’s finest dining establishments. Stopped by for a late lunch and ordered their recommended specialties — CHICKENSHWARMAWRAP and the BEEFTENDERLOINKABOBPLATE — with a side of baba ghanoush and fava bean salad. I loved the wonderful attention and service! There are wonderful Middle Easten grocery goods all around the restaurant — zaatar, varieties of couscous, lebneh, etc! As for the meal… not quite up to my expectations, the chicken schwarma meat was dry and doused in too much sauce. The beef tenderloin plate had only a few pieces of meat, not enough for a satisfying lunch.

I have been here twice. First time was last year May 2013 about this time. I eagerly visited again after my last great experience. They have the typical grilled meats available: shawarma, kabob, gyro etc. I had the Chix kabob last year with hummus & pita. All excellent. Meat was moist, tender & flavorful. Hummus was creamy & just the right balance or garlic, tahini, chick peas, & lemon! Bread was soft & slightly chewy like authentic pita shld be. I had the beef & lamb gyro this time with a side of dolmas & both were DELISH! Moist, flavorful & wrapped in a soft pita with romaine, tomatoes, onion & tzatziki. The place is very clean & well laid out. It is somewhat small & informal in that you order & pick up from the counter. There is a counter &3 – 4 bar height tables & chairs for eating in. If you decide to go with a platter, there are also 5 – 7 different side dishes to pick from such as hummus, tzatziki, baba ganoush, favs bean salad, tabbouleh, etc There is a fridge with a modest selection of cold bottled drinks & a grocery section with various authentic Mediterranean items to pick from. There area a few Mediterranean baked goods like baklava available also. The staff is kind, friendly & efficient. Altogether, a fabulous informal Med kabob place. Definitely recommended!

Finally tried the Kabob House. It was good but I wasn’t blown away. The menu is limited which isn’t a bad thing, offering too much can result in lack of focus. I was surprised there was a Chicken Shawarma sandwich but no shawarma as an entrée. I had a Chicken Kabob entrée with green beans and hummus. The plate consisted of four pieces of chicken, grilled onion and tomato with rice and pita. My wife thought it was a little overpriced at $ 10, I think it was appropriate with the 2 sides. The atmosphere is comfortable, I was cautious after seeing it described as a ‘dive’. It’s more like a sub shop with a visible kitchen and a couple of high topped tables. Subs are part of their menu so this isn’t surprising. I wavered between a 3 or 4 star rating. To me a 4 star would put this on my list as a go to place. But I don’t think it made it to that level for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, but I don’t expect to run back. I liked it and with the few number of middle eastern locations, I probably will return at some time. Pros: What they have is tasty, not overly priced. More comfortable an atmosphere than expected(but not even remotely fancy) Cons: No Lebanese Garlic Sauce(Toum) Flimsy plastic dinnerware. This isn’t a place to have a family meal.

Surprise surprise, Annapolis this is a dive worth trying. I tried the kebab sampler platter and was pleasantly surprised with the succulent taste of the beef tenderloin, the grilled flavor of the chicken breast and the lightly seasoned kofta. For $ 13.99 you get all three meats, a Pita and three sides including rice. What a pleasant and fresh meal at a low cost. Do not drive by without giving it a try.
