This place doesn’t deserve 1 star. Upon walking in they asked «what do you need?» I said a fill. They didn’t say another word to me for 45 minutes. There was nowhere to sit, so I sat at an empty station. After my 45 minute wait, I asked one of the employees if they would be attending to me soon as I had an appointment to get to. One of the male employees immediately began berating me saying «where is your appointment? What time do you need to be there? Do you think we care if you have an appointment?» I said «you should care. I’ve been waiting for 45 minutes, you keep taking other customers that are walking in, you seem to have forgotten all about me.» He said «you should’ve been sitting where I could see you. That’s not my problem, that’s your problem.» I stated «I have been sitting right behind you do you entire time, you knew I was sitting back there because you kept turning around to look at me.» He then told me to sit at a female employee’s station, so I did. He continued to berate me, telling me my appointments were not his problem. I told him I could easily go to another salon down the street and that I didn’t have to put up with this type of treatment. I asked him repeatedly to leave me alone and stop talking to me, because all I wanted was my nails done. He would not stop. I eventually had to get up and leave. I have never been treated so horribly in my entire life. I cannot believe that they would allow him to treat a customer that way. The entire time he was berating me, he was working on another customers nails! The woman he was working on looked terrified! This guy was so angry and so volatile. He was extremely sarcastic, condescending and patronizing. I will never go to this nail salon nor will I ever refer anyone here. Worst experience ever! I went down the street to another salon and was treated amazingly.

Seriously worst customer service ever. Went in to get an acrylic nail repair and they wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Granted they were busy but two people walked in 10 minutes after me for full mani/​pedis and they proceeded to help them first before they even came back to me. The one guy said he didn’t have the colors I wanted and quickly walked away before I could even tell him that it wasn’t important to have it match, I just wanted to replace the missing nails because it looks ghetto! I waited for 5 more minutes for someone to help me before I finally just left. Didn’t get anything done but absolutely will not go back.

She was very gentle but I still have rough spots on my feet and my gel nails have so many fuzzies stuck in them. I will not be going back.

I will never come here again. I have been coming here for the last year or so. Julie is awesome but every other nail tech that has worked on my nails has done a less than acceptable job. To the point that I cringe every time I go in and Julie isn’t working or available.
I got my nails done on a Sunday and the very next day one of them chipped because the nail tech didn’t file my nails well enough. The nail was peeling from underneath and caused the shellac to come off. The next day another one of my poorly filed nails peeled from underneath and the shellac came off. When the tech was doing my nails he was rushing and didn’t spend much time filing or looking for rough edges. When I put my nails under the UV light, it was for less than 20 seconds each time. He looked at me sideways when I asked for a second top coat (something that Julie is adamant about). The massage and hot towel lasted less than 30 seconds.
I figured it wouldn’t be an issue to get the 2 nails fixed. I went to the salon and as I was walking across the parking lot, one of the owners was driving through and looking into the salon instead of around him. He almost hit me and thankfully stopped because he heard my voice. Once I got inside, I explained to the other owner that I needed my nails fixed. She said «Oh too bad you chip» and went on about how it was my fault that the 2 nails had chipped. I told her it was not because of anything I did and I told her I felt the tech rushed through my manicure.
That is the moment a switch flipped and she started yelling at me. Don’t ever go to this place and suggest they did something wrong unless you want to get verbally assaulted. I couldn’t believe the way I was treated. One of the other nail techs stood up and started yelling at me and saying that I came in over a week and a half ago and told me to shut up. I corrected him and told him sorry his memory was off, but I was here just a few days ago. He called me a liar. Save your money and go to one of the many other nail salons in the area. Poor customer service, no accountability, the owners are crazy and one of them might hit you with their car.

This place is great. Not only did they give me advice on what would look great, they took my vision and made it a reality. I really like this place. They were so welcoming and gave me great attention even while they were very busy. I have been looking for a «home» nail place and I think I’ve found it!

They do such a good job on my acrylics & eyebrows!

I have been there twice and have been very happy each time. The first visit was for a full set and the second was for a rebase. Robert is awesome. The service is great and they are quick. This is what I am looking for. I will continue to frequent this establishment.

One of the worst mani/​pedis I’ve ever received. I can do a better job myself! The water to soak my feet in was cold, she did a sloppy job on my cuticles and on the polish. I will definitely not be be back. The price was good but who cares if it looks like crap?! Spend the extra $ 5 – 10 and go somewhere else.

I went into get my nails done today and just expected a typical experience where nobody speaks to me and I was really surprised that the young lady that did my nails spoke perfect English, she was extremely friendly and we talked the entire time. She did a great job with both my manicure and my pedicure. Family run business, I would recommend to anyone to support this place.

Great experience with Nancy very fast, good job and very affordable

I LOVE JULIE, the youngest daughter of the owners. She is a fluent English speaker and very nice young, smart lady to boot who gives an outstanding mani/​pedi everytime. I’ve also had both of her parents do the same, although can see others points about them being less than friendly. Great price for great outcome. Just went to an over priced nicer salon down by work in Centennial and after spending $ 70 for mediocrity, will be visiting Julie soon for a redo!

Wow!!! Not good at all. She was on her phone the entire time and I left looking like a child did my nails. I’m not exaggerating at all, they look soooooo bad. Might have done a decent job if she would have been paying attention.

I had the best service here! Robert was AMAZING! He was very helpful in the latest trends and what last the longest. Conversation was great just a very friendly place! I will definitely go back here for all my nail needs! I got a basic pedicure and a rebase on my nails. Great Job!

Pretty rude and hard to communicate with. I have given this place a couple tries since they are so close to my house but never thought the work was great.

Pretty decent outcome with my mani and pedi, however I don’t recommend going for the pedicure «upgrades». Their foot massages are nothing to write home about and it’s several dollars more. Very sweet couple, though, running this place. Great prices otherwise.

I can’t say enough nice things about Robert who does my acrylics at Nail Alt. He’s extremely careful with his work, making sure that every nail matches the shape on the other hand. My nails are also durable and long lasting, and he is very nice as well. So glad to have Robert working here in Edgewater! Did I mention it’s $ 23 for a full set? Can’t beat that price for this quality of work.

My last pedicure at this establishment was terrible. The woman who did my pedicure stabbed the cuticle on my left big toe TWICE with the cuticle cutters. I couldn’t believe it! Once maybe if your hand slips, but twice? It was quite painful! I noticed red on my toe and pointed it out to her. She said, «It’s color.» I looked closer and said «No, it’s blood. You hurt me.» She did not apologize and just took out the buffer and continued on with her work, buffering the blood away. I can only hope they sanitize their tools. Then she charged me full price for the pedicure (gosh maybe a discount for stabbing me or something???) and looked at me expectantly for a tip when I just gave her money for the charge! Sorry lady, I don’t tip «pedicurists» who stab their clients!
This place overall, is not the cleanest, has poor customer service, communication is hit and miss and well as the final job on the nails. BUT most importantly, since the lady drew blood on me, I have to say that it is my opinion that this is not a SAFE place to get your nails done! Also, I question whether the employees are properly certified — with a mistake like this, can you blame me?
Anyhow, my opinion is that this is a terrible place — it may be cheap but its not worth it if your health is at risk.
