I work next to this place and order breakfast and lunch here very often. Their edgewater salad is great and huge. Their korean cheese steak is amazing.

Good small mom and pop subway shop. I love that their bread is always so soft and the insides slightly scooped out(I think). I always get the Korean cheesesteak sandwich and Nick’s Reuben(They use Turkey instead). The Korean cheesesteak use Korean marinated ribeye which is slightly sweet, and goes amazing with the cheese and peppers. They raised their prices very slightly, otherwise this place would be an amazing deal! Still love going and supporting them as I love their food. Owners are also very friendly

This place almost feels like a small convenient store. The bread was soft and sweet — might be better toasted. The Korean BBQ was very good, but not great, considering it was about a $ 10 sandwich($ 9.65 including taxes). The cheese and peppers went well together with the sandwich. Not bad overall — but it would be much better if it were cheaper. I think this would be a great deal at $ 6 or $ 7.

Pretty yummy subs— Just kinda disappointed that about 60% of the time we decide to order there they are closed for whatever reason. :(Wish they were open more hours.

Food is decent, but they seemingly raise prices every other week. Their menu has prices crossed out by hand with a new higher price, but even that is out of date. You’ll get rung up for more and when you ask, they’ll say prices went up. They do have a disclaimer saying prices subject to change without notice. I didn’t know they meant literally you get charged more than what’s on the menu they give you ATTHESTORE. Just bad business standards.

Ehhhh, another place that’s got me wondering about Unilocal rating. Avg sandwiches and nothing special.

Best sandwiches in Edgewater. Consistent. Delicious. Fresh ingredients. The fastest delivery. I live up the block and love this place… just wished they were open 24 hours!!!

Don’t know what the fuss is about the Korean cheese steak. I had it and I have to say there was nothing special about it. Also got another sandwich of ham and salami and it looked like a subway sandwich. One slice of meat each and a slice of cheese with a ton of lettuce. Very disappointed considering I have bookmarked this place a while ago and just had a chance to try it. What a waste plus it wasn’t cheap.

Korean cheesesteak is very very good. The meat has a nice, distinctive bulgogi flavor without being overly sweet. Salad portions are very big with fresh vegetables and dressing; onion rings were big and crispy. Very good quality and good price(at least compared to NYC). Will be a regular.

If you’re going to serve Boars Head products make sure you serve it on bread that’s not stale… not going here on Sundays anymore… guessing they need to get rid of inventory… ruined the sandwich

Subz Up is an interesting little sub shack that sits above River Road up on Route 5. It’s family-owned and operated and a little overpriced, but the sandwiches are very good. I always remember the Korean Cheesesteak to be really good, then I go and get it every three months and am disappointed. I just had it a few days ago and their was a ton of chewy fat in it(maybe the quality has actually gone down). I’ve also had the buffalo chicken sandwich and the marcus mamba, both of which were satisfactory.

Great food, clean place, but really lousy customer service, also menu needs an update.

I had this spot bookmarked for a while, and after reading such raving reviews about the cool and unique sandwiches they had available I was excited to finally try it out. I don’t wanna sound like a princess. I don’t think that every business should cater to my specific needs, but out of their 30+ array of sandwiches there was not 1 meatless option. I had read about their Korean cheesesteak and shrimp po boy sandwiches and was imagining they’d have even more innovative menu items. I was not expecting a regular deli-style sandwich shop, but that’s pretty much what it is. I ended up getting a sandwich of lettuce tomato onion and roasted peppers. It was fine enough but I could have gone to Subway for the same thing. The inside is tiny and there’s really nowhere to sit, so it’s definitely a grab and go spot. Parking was a little bit of a hassle as well. It might not be a bad spot if you’re a carnivore, and I don’t wanna hold their lack of veggie options against them TOO much, that’s why I’m giving them 3 stars. If they’d given me more to review it might be a different story, but I don’t see any reason to come back.

3.5 stars! Blazing Buffalo Sub– The buffalo sauce has a nice spicy(but not overly so) flavor to it and pairs very well with ranch, blue cheese and even with mayo. Fortunately, the sub had enough meat. I found the chicken to be juicy and thick. Every bite was enjoyable. Eat it as soon as you can or else the sub will become soggy. Korean Cheesesteak– I had to see what the hype was all about. Yes, it is a hot, cheesy and meaty sub. I distinctly remember every bite was a combination of sweet and salty. The cheese was not cheese whiz, at least I hope it wasn’t. The grilled onions and peppers had a nice crunch and just the right amount of it. Definitely, an unusual yet appealing sub. I say it’s simply worth a try.

I stopped by here looking for something new to eat, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the customer service. I had the Korean BBQ cheese steak like so many others on here and it was awesome. The sweet potato fries are also on point, and they’re coated in corn starch before being fried so they remain crispy even after they cool down. I’ll definitely add this spot to my lunch rotation.

Love this mom and pop shop! It’s a tiny but packed with goodness sandwich shop. I finally got to try the Korean cheesesteak which was absolutely amazing. I love Korean BBQ and I love cheesesteaks so naturally it was a perfect marriage. It was everything I wanted… hot, cheesy and meaty. There is limited seating(only two chairs by the window) and limited street parking but it’s worth it. The choices for sandwiches are overwhelming. They also have breakfast sandwiches, soups, coffee and sides. I’ll be back soon to try the various chicken cutlet sandwiches everyone is raving about.

Just stopped by this place after reading the great reviews as I was in the area. Had the Marcus mamba & Korean cheesesteak. Both really good, definitely will be returning. Reasonable prices for the quality of food & friendly service.

A small shop right off River Road that some a variety of sub and sandwich options as well as soups and snacks. Not a place where you can sit & eat at really(only has two stools at a table on the window & a bench outside) but plenty of quick parking right in front to stop in and pick up some hefty made sandwiches. I’ve gone with The Reuben on a hoagie roll as well as their turkey and cheddar and both were exquisite! Weekends can get busy so call ahead if you can to place your order… they have everything so you don’t need a menu, just tell them what you want and they make it!
