Chicken cheesesteak was very good. Place is nothing to look at — no seats, no décor. I will try it again and order something different — and some fries — see what all the crowds are about.

The cheesesteaks are awesome, the best in Harford County. They are huge. Worth every penny. The fries are very good with or without gravy. Onion rings & shrimp salad are very good. Go check them out.

Stopped here yesterday for lunch. ordered a small chicken cheese steak. IT WAS HUGE… and it was slightly greasy… but it was also delish. I couldn’t believe how good it was. A tad expensive, but worth it.

Stopped on our way north, and so glad we did! Grandsons got cheesesteaks and hubby and I opted for the shrimp salad. The bread was terrific, just the right combination of crisp outside and soft inside. The shrimp salad was outstanding with just the right amount of kick. The cheesesteaks were a hit as well, and got a thumbs up from the cheesesteak expert (middle grandson). We also got French fries for the boys and potato and macaroni salad for us. The French fries were hot and crisp. The potato salad and macaroni salad amazing… just like the Jersey delis where we grew up. The only downside was nowhere to sit. A local couple we met suggested the Anita Leight Estuary Center, just a 3 minute drive, where we sat by the water and enjoyed our sandwiches. Great little local place. Don’t miss stopping by in your way through Edgewiod.

The food here is expensive but well worth the $$$$. All of the ingredients are high quality and the portions are huge. I would like to try more items on the menu but the cheese steaks are so good that I cant resist getting one. Absolutely love this place, just thinking about it makes me hungry.

I’m indulging my inner fat girl today because I’m going hard core with my eating next week. I’ve heard people talk about how great the subs are here so I figured I would try them out.
It’s very small inside. It smells really yummy. You can see everything going on (which I like). The cook was preparing the food with gloves on (which I love) .
The sub is good. It was overstuffed, flavorful (and greasy). I would have to say maybe the best chicken cheesesteak sub I’ve had in Harford county. The «small «sub was ginormous! I can’t even imagine what the large sub looks like. It’s always good to have leftovers.
Some things I didn’t like though. There were big steak pieces mixed in my meat. I don’t eat beef but the pieces were large enough to remove (but I shouldn’t have to). In addition, I asked for green pepper and the pieces were humongous! Way too big.
I paid 20 for 2 small subs and a pack of cookies. While I thought the price was high initially, for the size of the sub, I think it evens out .
All in all, it was an ok greasy chicken cheesesteak.

Food is great, but what about those snowballs! THE BEST SNOWBALLS IN MARYLAND!!! Hands down! Perfect ice, awesome flavors! And of course tons of marshmallow!!!

GREAT CHICKEN CHEESE STEAK! I did not feel like I was missing out because I am restricted from beef. This place was great and my son wanted to go back to take some home. Down for baseball at Ripken and found this place. Sad we don’t have a place like this at home. Nice owner & funny daughter. Ate outside on picnic table because it was a gorgeous day. had to have a snowcone also… stand right there. We will see you next year!

Far and away the best cheesesteak you’ll get in a 20 mile radius. LARGE portions, even on the «small» subs. Well worth the price you’re gonna pay.
I’m a late adopter to this place because of its «dive» appearance, and I’m sorry I waited.
Call ahead, or wait a while. No inside seating, and only some picnic tables at the s lowball stand outside.
Easy to get to, and plenty of parking.

The best tasting and highest quality cheese steak in Edgewood! They don’t have a website and don’t deliver but you can call in advance for pickup. Here is their menu though the prices are out of date,

The cheesesteaks are to die for and the portions are huge. Highly recommend if your in the area. On the plus side the owners daughter is hot.

We live in Florida now and NO ONE makes a Crabcake or Shrimp Salad like they do here in Maryland. Sam’s Delicatessen makes some of the best Philly Cheesesteaks, Crabcakes and Shrimp Salad around. Never disappointed! We stop by when we return to visit family. Thanks for another satisfying lunch! (Sams…How about some gluten-​free Crabcakes now?)

Divey deli located in a former adult book store at the intersection of Pulaski Hwy/​Rt 40 and Edgewood Road. Seems a bit sketchy at first, but worth giving them a try — especially if you’re in the mood for a really good sandwich.
Best cheesesteak in the Mid-​Atlantic region. I know traditional cheesesteak enthusiasts are going to scream «But Philly!!!» I defintely prefer Sam’s.
Also have pretty good shrimp salad.
Large sandwiches can be a bit pricey, but worth the money. They’re stuffed, Sam’s definitely doesn’t skim on meat, cheese, or fixings. Also, unless you’re absolutely starving you can probbaly get two meals out of a large.
Carry out only. Call your order in and pick it up verus standing around among the soda and chips.

Yummy in my tummy! This is definitely a guilty pleasure, once-​in-​awhile place. When you can only be satisfied by heavy, greasy, salty & cheesy, this is a great place to go. I’ve had a cheese steak from here about 3 times a year since I was in high school (I’m 25). They’re a solid go-​to for cheese steaks: tender meat, generous helping of cheese, fresh bread. I get mine with hots, onions and mayo. The service is friendly and quick enough, though I usually call ahead to pick it up. I’ve never had anything but a cheesesteak here so I can’t speak to the other items on the menu, but if you’ve got that itch for Philly’s staple, Sam’s Deli is a great choice.

I have tried 3 of their subs. The Italian cold cut, cheese steak and shrimp salad. They were all delicious!!! They are a little on the pricey side but it is well worth it.

Surprisingly great food for a place that looks like a total dump (sorry but it does) inside and out. I recommend calling ahead because you will wait a while if you order there at the counter … Best American cold cut I’ve had… But not for $ 11, not some place to eat every night. You’d go broke, but def try it
