I get so annoyed. Every time I pay for my drink, the lady never gives me my change. She says thank you and moves on. I find that extremely rude! For that reason I will not continue to go there. The women that helps me in the morning, I believe she is the owner. Ridiculous!

I miss the skimpy outfits of their old Kent location. The coffee is still delicious though and the baristas are as friendly as can be. I will miss pasty day!

Super cute stand. All the baristas are friendly and knowledgable about their espresso. I’ve tried numerous drinks from sugar cookies all have been great! They are very friendly when I bring my nephew by for his special«coffee» drink.

Upon approach, I noticed a car with open trunk and the back door of the stand opened along with two older people milling around. Not knowing if the stand was open, I drove around to the window to check for a sign. Since there was no sign saying they were closed(New Year’s Day), I waited. Finally the woman said, from behind the building, they were closed. Since I could only see the man, I made a friendly, logical inquiry — «Why is there no sign?»(Note to business owners: It is customary to post a sign on days when normal business hours will not be adhered to.) The man replied, Because it’s a holiday. Again I asked, Why is there no sign saying the place is closed? Mr. Condescending then proceeded to lecture me about how the illuminated«Open» sign would be on if they were open. That’s all well and good there, Mr. Condescending, but obviously he failed to recognize two important points: 1. The low-slung, very bright winter sunshine made it impossible to SEE if the sign he pointed to was on or not. And 2. You never, NEVER speak to a paying customer with that tone of voice, especially when it is completely unwarranted. Last I checked, there are 5 drive-up latte stands plus a Starbucks in the Milton/Edgewood area. In other words, Sugar Cookies is far from being the only game in town. Based on the attitude and rudeness of the people representing this business, apparently this stand already has all the customers it needs and is fine with losing its regular patrons.
