The Glow Lounge

I wanted to love this and I initially did, but then I noticed my ankles and legs and the orange. I kind of felt like someone cut my legs off and placed an Oompa Loompa’s legs on me. For some reason, the color developed differently on my legs and ankles whereas the rest of my body developed more realistically.
I called the next day to ask what I might have done wrong. I had used mineral-​oil free wash, shampoo, and followed proper drying directions. The girl I spoke with apologized and was baffled since I was sprayed with the lightest shade of tan, but yet my legs were crazy different (as pictured). She recommended using lemon and oil, shaving, and exfoliating a few times a day. I did that and I wouldn’t recommend using lemon juice-​that burns so much after exfoliating and shaving.
The place is cute and the people working are so sweet and cute, so I might try it again and just wash my legs almost immediately after getting sprayed.
Unfortunately, for a while, I will be super pale until I find another solution. Scrubbing my legs almost raw to get out in public is not really ideal.

The gal that sprayed me was very professional and friendly. I was definitely pleased with the outcome. Although I wish I didn’t have to wait 10 hours before I could shower! ;)

The Glow Lounge is such an amazing place for a heated, airbrushed spray tan. The owner is professional, intelligent, and accomodating. The product and application is flawless. I honestly looked 15 years younger, and my skin feels terrific! Thank you Mollie;)).

Very happy with my experience. I was going to California and didn’t want to stand out as the only person with pasty white skin who hadn’t seen the sun all winter. As others have said in previous reviews, the staff listens to your concerns and explains everything ahead of time. They make you feel very comfortable during the process and I hardly noticed that I was standing almost full nude talking with a stranger. I will definitely come back to The Glow Lounge when I’m in Minneapolis again.

BIG fan of this place! I came to the Glow Lounge so that I could get a spray tan for wedding dress shopping. I had never had a spray tan before, and Molly made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me ahead of time. She mixed a custom tan formula after I told her about my skin tone (olive, I get pretty dark in the summers) and that I didn’t want to be too unnatural or summery-​looking (my wedding is in November). The tan turned out beautifully and the whole process was quick and easy. I will definitely be making an appointment for myself and the bridal party prior to our wedding!

My tan looked nice at first, however after only 2 hours I noticed my hands weren’t colored the same as the rest and I had a missed streak down both my arms. The staff was great and friendly, however I kept calling to reach someone about my problems and left a voicemail but receieved no call back. I had this tan done the day before an event and wanted it touched up in these spots but no one got back to me. This alone makes me second guess having my spray tan done by the glow lounge. Price was good for $ 40, however I expected a full coverage tan.

I would consider myself quite the expert when it comes to sunless tanning. I have fair skin, hence have tried it ALL; spray, lotions, mystic, versa spa, manual airbrush, etc.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Small and quaint studio located off of France Ave. These tans are worth every penny. Missy does an amazing job! I purchased the «Blushing Bride» package which includes 2 tans. They have a ton of options allowing you to really customize what you need/​want. They even allow you to come in the week of your wedding for any touch-​ups that may be needed!
This is the place to go. Don’t bother wasting your time searching for another. This is it.

The thought of standing pretty much naked with my pastey skin to get air brushed by a stranger did not excite me but I had already bought the Groupon. But Lindsey was awesome and totally made the experience comfortable. LOVED the heated aspect and the color was really even. Much better than a spray booth. I’ll be back.
