Rude associates!
Arden B is known for its cute, trendy pieces that can be dressed up or dressed down. This location carries a good variety and is well laid out. The pieces are average quality and won’t last long.
These associates are terrible! I have never encountered a bunch of associates ignore EVERY customer and just chitchat among themselves. Not even a greeting.
The glaring exception is how the security guards (note the plural) in this store follow the patrons. I have multiple graduate degrees (and dress like it) along with a well dressed and well behaved child. I was STALKED– every item I touched I was surrounded and watched. I tried on two jackets in a centrally located mirror, only to spot two security faces behind me watching intently. Extremely awkward.
I decided to purchase two tops. Guess what? The associates were still congregating in the rear chatting away. I walked over to them and tried a simple, «Excuse me». I was met with a finger indicating one moment. Seriously? They were discussing a former associate and some related drama. Definitely TMI and unprofessional.
I repositioned myself and directed a clear request towards one of the associates. She took my items and headed to the register to check me out. She did NOT exit the conversation though– instead she chose to just yell her additions to the conversation across the store. Inappropriate.
I exited the store with my purchase without even a «Thank you» or «Come again» from the associates. The security guards were off stalking another customer.
Needless to say, I was very happy to leave that Twilight Zone where Customer Service does not exist.
