My family LOVES this Chuck E. Cheese’s location! It’s clean, the staff is super friendly and the kids always have a great time! We had my daughter and my nephew’s 3rd birthday party here a few years ago and I was so impressed with how organized it was and again, how friendly and helpful the staff was. The place is great for pretty much all ages. When you walk in, the right side is geared more towards toddlers and preschoolers and the left side features games and entertainment for the older ones. Even my 18 month old enjoys the games, rides and the food! It’s the perfect indoor entertainment place for kids and we always look forward to going back!

This place needs better management, they ask customers to leave 40 minutes before closing time. Very disappointed!

the chucke cheese in edison rt 1… we went to on a sunday 10÷25÷15. it is not a great place to bring your young children in anymore. the place was dirty, tables were not clean, still food, cake left on tables. Most of the machines in kiddie side were not working such as photo booth, the chucke car machine does not produce the photos as the children get on it. the jumping chucke machine was out of tickets, so my little one did not get all tickets from going on any of those machines. my husband ask one of the employees to help and clean one of tables for us before we sat down and he did not care and dismiss the matter. i saw no managers around. this place is ghetto and does not feel safe environment to bring your children to. the bathrooms were disgusting, not clean, looked like a portable potty units. oh and the system of shining a flash light to your hand to match if you have the right child i snot safe or reliable system, the young kid didnt even know what he was looking at and that is a major concern that this is not treated serious. anybody can walk in and out with a child. while he was checking this long line of people out, there was a line of people just standing there waiting to get in which they should have 2 people in the front 1 to check in people and 1 to check out people. will not ever go there again and will not mention to any of my circle of friends to bring their children there. there are better places, cleaner places, more welcome places to bring little ones to.

I am originally from Staten ISland but sunday I’ve decided to meet my boyfriend with his kids at Chuck E. Cheese’s just so we can all enjoy a nice family time. Unfortunately, this place was dirty, most of the games were out of ordered and the games were boring. On top of that there were a few machines where we never got the tickets and all other ones you only win 4 tickets. Sorry, I’ve been to other Chuck E. Cheeses and this is overall the worse i’ve ever been to…

This place is a rip off for tickets. You can only win 4 tickets on every game and the prizes are still the same value as any chuck e cheese is. Most places it is 10 $ for 40 tokens It was 10 for 30 here. After spending so much money on basically nothing. You still get nothing when it’s time to leave.

The food takes too long. I shouldn’t have to wait 30min to get chicken wings and fries…

Our 3 year old son has been potty training for quite some time, and the only thing that would motivate him enough to do «the big one» on the potty was the promise of taking him to Chuck E. Cheese. He had never been before, but thanks to those Disney Jr. commercials, he had been asking for months. All he could talk about was how he wanted to high five Chuck E. When the big day finally came on Thursday, 1÷22÷15, we literally dropped everything, including the dinner at home we were just starting to prepare, and gleefully raced to Edison to celebrate. We kept talking about how Chuck E. would be so proud of him. It was approximately 6:00. We got there about 6:15pm, and learned that Chuck E. comes out every hour on the :30, so we thought we were just in time. There were several pre-recorded messages above the stage confirming that Chuck E. would be available for«hugs, photos, and free tickets». We ordered some food and eagerly waited. 6:30 came and went. Then 6:45. Then 7… At 7:15 we asked someone and were told that Chuck E. came out every hour on the :30. We stated that he had not been out at 6:30 and the employee acted like we just asked him to explain nuclear physicists he was so dumbfounded. Our son had been enjoying himself playing games, but kept asking for Chuck E. He FINALLY came out at 7:30, and when kids started approaching him, he ran behind the prize counter and started shooing them away. Our son kept saying«Come here, Chuck E. I want to hug you!» Chuck E. finally emerged, but all he would do is run around the perimeter of the restaurant while kids followed, and a fellow employee literally threw tickets at the children as if they were dogs. Our son followed, not so much caring about the tickets as he calling for Chuck E. eager to tell him about his potty victory and give him a high five. At the end of his sprint around the restaurant, Chuck E. literally ran to the staff door, despite being followed by several smaller children who just wanted to «meet» him and literally shut the door in their faces. My son was devastated and the rest of the night kept asking why Chuck E. walked away from him and why he didn’t want to see him. We even took a video of him discussing what happened: We tried to make it a learning experience and say that Chuck E. stopped playing with the kids and went potty, just like he needs to when he needs to go. But he was still extremely sad and it definitely put a damper on what was supposed to be a celebratory evening. We now have a sticker chart so that every 5th potty success, we go back to Chuck E. — but next time we will go to the Princeton location and hope for a better experience. To speak to the other aspects of the establishment, the wait for food was very long and did not seem right for how uncrowded the place was on a Friday. But the food was actually decent, I especially liked the cheesey bread. It’s on par with what you’d expect at an arcade. And with the coupons we had, it was pretty reasonably priced. Our son enjoyed a lot of the games, I was worried most would be above his skill set, but it was mostly appropriate and he enjoyed that component. Despite our adventures in potty training, we didn’t venture into the bathroom.

Not a fun place to be, the games are not exciting at all, the only ticket machine was broken, staff is very young and not experienced, needs more tables because it is impossible to sit and eat on a weekend.

Ordered a cake at 7pm, it’s 9pm. Still haven’t received my cake. When we asked about it they couldn’t even remember what kind of cake we ordered. Also machines are low ticket here. 4 tickets per play max. Stickiest bathroom floors I’ve seen in a chuck e cheese. Won’t be returning to this location ever.

Kids review: Modern day arcade with a cat walk for kids. A 12 years and under indoor play ground, but the 3 to 7 yr olds luv it most. A franchise that offers pizza(horrible pie, but what would you expect from an arcade) & typically a salad bar and other junk type food. No not a place to come and eat by any means. There’s a large variety of current day arcade games including toddler type rides, shooting, wack em, air hockey, shooting hoops & skee ball all operated through tokens. Tickets are won at lots of the games that can submitted for kids prizes. Birthday group parties seem be taking place all the time. Strangely my sadistic side emerges as they announce Chuckies entrance, because every time some kid freaks out and starts screaming at the human sized mouse costume Lol. I’m compelled to race to the stage area, luckily being tall affords me the luxury of a hawk eye view for the inevitable scene. I know… A great way to kill an hour or two. Can be ridiculously packed on weekends so be prepared to bump elbows. I repeat the food sucks, but some of the arcade games are really a whole lot of fun for the entire family.

I had no issues with the staff but the place could have been a little cleaner especially the bathroom. Yuck urine stains all over the toilets and it smelled of it too.

I have been here few times with my nephews– and i have visited all 5 Chuck E Cheese’s on this area. I waited to write my review till my last visit. This is one of the better managed branches. The staff is courteous– and they are helpful unlike the branch on Route 22 or on route 1 on North Bergen. As far as games, they have all the same games– and they are as clean as they can be for a kids place. This place gets really packed & busy even on weeknights so be aware. This branch also doesn’t give you hard time with on-line coupons like other branches I mentioned earlier. Overall — my nephews have fun every time they go there & its pretty cheap kids fun place.

Come to this location at your own risk on a Sunday. The place was mobbed beyond seating capacity, the staff was visibly stressed out, food took an hour to get to us and we got a single pizza. There are more games for adults and older kids and the stuff for the younger kids is in a corner. At least the guy at the front was nice, and the kids had fun because well they don’t notice that kind of stuff just yet…

The service, cleanliness, and games were all disappointing. The ticket eater and redemption linbes are long. It usually seems understaffed as noticed by the visible trash on floors and the bathrooms that need cleaning. Would not recommend to others.

This past weekend I went to this establishment to celebrate both of my nieces’ birthdays. However, I was highly disappointed with the service, quality of the arcade machines, and overall cleanliness at this Chuck E Cheese. If you want crappy machines that don’t work properly or hand out all the tickets you win then come on over to this Chuck E Cheese. Seriously? The whole point of going to this place is for the kids to enjoy themselves with these games. Why not maintain them properly? There was barely any staff on hand to clean up tables after patrons left or to man the cashier. The line at times looked like it was going to wrap around the place since there was only one person on the cashier. Where was everyone else? Who knows! I won’t be taking my nieces back here in the future.
