Majestic Awning

We ordered a large soffit-​mounted awning and told the salesman well in advance we want him to check our soffit as it has no foundation underneath for the awning. He said everything was fine, and the installation crew would know what to do. The salesman didn’t want to come back to the house again. My husband took a day off from work for this installation that could not be done because there was nothing to mount the awning to. Both the installation crew and my husband lost time becuase of this. We had to hire a construction crew, at an additional $ 1,000 cost, for this service. When I told the salesman of this additional cost, he said they could not deduct that amount from our total. I then cancelled the order as we did not agree on a price of $ 1,000 more. We are very disappointed with the outcome and very unhappy with the salesman.
We were also not happy about the sloppy contract we received. We revised our order to a size smaller. Instead of writing a new, clean contract, the salesman crossed off the old amounts and wrote in the new ones.
