Omg. This food is DELICIOUS. The staff was incredibly friendly and knew exactly what types of things I wanted! I ended up getting some garlic naan which was amazing. Not over cooked(which sometimes happen when you order naan) the chicken masala was AMAZING. So many spices that all complimented one another! Even the basmati rice has a season to it! Amazing. The portions are great for the price, I ended up with a to-go box because I wanted dessert. The dessert was FANTASTIC. I’m not sure what it’s called but they were little dough balls with a sugary syrup on them. I’m pretty picky with Indian food because we have some great restaurants in Los Angeles but this was 100% worth every penny to me! Absolutely recommend! Would love to try the buffet!

very bad not worth money spent! We went for the first time. and the food was so bad. seemed everything was cooked in coconut oil. and have reused the oil. Naan looke like roti and so chewy. Paneer looked not fresh!.. bad decision to go there.

As someone who travels quite regularly, I am used to trying restaurants in new places. I am on a business trip to NJ, and read the reviews of Spice Zone, and decided to give it a try. I am a huge fan of Indian food, but in NC, many Indian restaurants are never busy, and mostly occupied by folks that are curious as to what Indian food is. To my surprise, Spice Zone was extremely busy, and full of people who knew what Indian/Asian food is. Very exciting to see. The service was phenomenal, as my questions were answered immediately and with expert knowledge. I decided on vegetable samosas, lamb rogan josh, and garlic naan. The samosas came out first, and were stuffed full of flavor-filled vegetables and spices. The tamarind chutney and green chili sauce that accompanied the samosas were fantastic, and complimented the complex flavors of the fried appetizers. The rogan josh was really well done, mild in spiciness, but full of aromatic flavor, and the lamb was super tender. The naan was spectacular as well, and the dish included several sides of vegetables, pickles, and mango chutney, all left nothing to be desired. For anyone in this part of NJ, consider yourselves lucky! Wish a place like this existed in my area.

We went there for lunch. It was packed as they were having a birthday celebration BUT it did not deter to give us a great service. The hosts were nice. It does not give a great impression from outside but the ambiance is quite good. You can see the effort put into the decoration. The food was also great. They serve the starters(which is a mini dosa) on the table. I went there for buffet. The buffet compromised of indian and indo-chinese cuisine. I liked the tandoori chicken. The chicken gravy was also great. The noodles were also awesome. Overall good food and good service !

been to spice zone many times and enjoyed the experience each time. Initially used to go for the lunch buffet as it was close to my office and choices were not much but tasted good. Dinner items taste even better and not much of a wait time. service is good and the owner personally checks if everything fine so overall a good experience.

This place had a special rajasthani and gujarati buffet and food was absolutely delicious. The pani puri, khandvi, chaas was authentic! It was set up in a way to get the feel of real rajasthan and it lived up to every bit of it. I would highly recommend it

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times and it’s been great every time. My boyfriend and I love the food. I think everything about it is perfect. I’m making myself so hungry writing this review and now I’m craving their food. I also love the décor of the place and the vibe. All the waiters are super nice and seem to love their job. Every time I’m there this one man checks up on me a few times during the meal to make sure everything is okay and asks me if I need anything, but he’s so friendly and not overbearing. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. If I lived closer, I’d be there all the time. A+

Best Indian weekend buffet! Rice, Nan’s tandoori chicken are very good. Condiments enhance the flavors. Clean, friendly and attentive service. Must eat!

Delicious! I stopped in for the lunch buffet while my car was being serviced at the Reydel Volkswagon dealership next door, and I was simply blown away by the flavor. Topping it off, the chicken was unbelievably soft and buttery — as if it is melting in your mouth. The aromatic spices were the perfect amount of flavor without feeling like there was any burn.

I have ordered food from here twice. Both the times the food was amazing. I would say this is the most authentic Indian restaurant in this area.

i keep coming back because the food is delicious, but in my 20+ visits, they NOTONCE got my order right. takeout, dine in, online order, phone, appetizer entrée, doesn’t matter, they never forget to charge for everything, but not one time have i eaten here and gotten everything i ordered. and the other reviewer is right, when you’re sitting right there with no water, they will stare at you. i’ve even gotten up to get my own flatware. all that said, i do so love the food, pakoras especially. if i didn’t, they’d go the way of mirchi, who is dead to me.

If you like kabobs, this place is probably the best you’ll find in NJ. I’ve had almost all the different ones they have, but the best BYFAR is the Kukad Ki Chop. It comes out sizzling with the perfect level of spice and marinade. Be sure to put squeeze some lemon on it. You don’t even need the chutney they provide. The other fish and chicken dishes are all outstanding. My favorite main course is the Sarson Maanch which has a nice black pepper curry with fish. The naan and rice are all really good as well, especially the biryani. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that the menu definitely skews towards meat, and my vegetarian wife doesn’t have the same enthusiasm for the food as I do. The veg dishes are«OK», but not as good as other places that specialize in veg food. I’ve also had mixed feelings on their indochinese offerings. OVerall, this place hits the spot for those looking for good tandoor dishes. The prices are somewhat reasonable and you can bring your own beer and wine. It probaby is best to come with a group so you can try many items. Service is on par with other Indian places.

We came here on a whim when we wanted to have Indian somewhere we had not been before. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and the food was very good! I ordered the chicken vindaloo and husband ordered a lamb dish. We both enjoyed our meals and thought they were flavorful and delicious! My chicken vindaloo was spicy, which I love! I tried some Indian soda with spices and was pleasantly surprised. We also ordered garlic naan and regular naan with our meals and the bread was a little TOO oily for my liking. The rice was fine. For dessert, I ordered the mini balls in the milk sauce(I forget what it’s really called) and the Indian ice cream. I love the Indian ice cream and the sauce balls! Yum! This place is A-OK!

This place really likes the gold theme. It’s everywhere. When I first walked in to the restaurant on a cold, dark, rainy evening I thought I had teleported to a maharaja’s palace in the daytime because of how bright it was. The place was immaculately clean and the service from the staff was second to none. They were really genuine in their welcome and I instantly felt at home. The wait for the food was not too long either. I got to enjoy the deliciousness very quickly. Now since I love to try different dishes and discover new favorites I decided to forgo my usual staples and opted to order chana amritsari and lamb rogan josh with a side of their chili cheese naan. First off the chickpeas in the chana were done perfectly. It was in no way soggy or overcooked. The flavor was very distinct. I could taste the green chilies and even a hint of bay leaf, probably from the spice mix. I would not be a gentleman if I didn’t warn you that this dish packs a punch. When it says that this dish is spicy, you better believe it is. Still a strong dish in my book. As for the lamb entrée that one was my favorite. Since I love lamb I already hold some bias but this dish knocks it out of the park in flavor. It’s a delicate blend of spices with the turmeric and cayenne heavily present. It’s slow cooked so all those spices get into the very fiber of the dish and it just melts in your mouth like buttah! Yum-oh-yum indeed! I think I found a new staple in my repertoire. These two dishes were paired with some rice and chili cheese naan that was a welcome surprise. I could really tell that there were green chilies in the bread and the cheese gave it that fattiness to just dull the spiciness oh so delicately. I think I just wrote a thesis paper for culinary school the way I just described my meal, but that’s how much I loved it. It’s great to discover a restaurant and be floored by the quality and flavor of their offerings. I decided to go out of my usual routine and order dishes that I normally don’t order and as a result I was rewarded greatly. As for Spice Zone I reward them with a solid four stars for a fantastic meal.

They have an wesome mango lassi! That thing was mango, yogurty, condensed milk goodness… slammin’. The food was also very good. As I’ve stated before, I’m not familiar with Indian food. This has been the third time that I’ve had Indian food in my life so well versed, I am not. The BF and I ordered a bunch of different things to try out. Chicken Tikka, Chicken Vindaloo, Some other grilled chicken thing, basmati rice w/cumin, and an potato, corn and condensed milk appetizer. I personally wasn’t too thrilled with the appetizer as the consistency was odd to me. It just didn’t seem cooked all the way through and was still rather mushy in the middle. The BF really enjoyed it however. Chicken Tikka was a little too yogurty in my opinion but still not bad. Waiters were nice, service was a bit slow, food took a while to come out, pacing was a little weird, but nothing horrible. When we walked in, we were the only people in there that weren’t Indian, so I take that as a good sign. All in all, i’d definitely come back, especially for that lassi.
