Stop & Shop of Edison

Ok I stopped at the Shop Rite in Clark before the most recent «blizzard» to just get a few things I needed, but since I couldn’t even get to the parking lot, I drove out of my way to get to the Stop & Shop. The place was pretty empty and I was able to take my time and do my regular food shopping while I was here. The selection of fruits is pretty good here, meats could definitely be better. They were rather limited in the choices of cuts you could get.
But moving on…
Pay for my groceries, and load up my car with everything, return the cart to the entrance (this will be important later on) and get on my way. When I get home I’m unloading everything I purchased and then realize that I’m missing a bag of chips, a box of cereal and 2 bags of salad. They are absolutely not in my car and I didn’t leave them in the cart (because I would have seen the bag in there as I was pushing it back to the store). I call the customer service line and the chick who answered seemed like it was a real inconvenience to go check if the bag was left behind at the check out line. I gave her the name of the girl at the register since it was printed at the bottom.
So she comes back like 2 minutes later and says «sorry it’s not here» and pretty much hangs up on me.
Nope, not coming back.

The staff at Stop and Shop have always treated my family great. Always with a friendly smile, courteous nature and a helping hand.

Horrible customer service. Tried to purchase blue rhino propane at the customer service counter. Christine was too busy yapping with a fellow employee to help me. I walked out and went to the hardware store. Never again

I give it three stars for renovating the place. It was the oldest looking Stop & Shop in NJ in my opinion. Now its one of the newest looking in NJ. They even re-​did the parking lot so the lines are nice and new. Easy to spot the parking spots.
My only complaints is that they can be a little more organized. The aisles arent as well organized as I would like. Its hard to find dishwashing detergent. Something as simple as that. Anyways, I hope they re did everything inside the way they did the outside.
