My family isn’t particularly tech savvy, so having someone who is knowledgeable and friendly is what we are constantly searching for when going to Verizon stores. By no means did I find that at this store. The staff was rude, team members did not work together to help solve issues, and they were not knowledgeable phones(particularly older phones for trading in), my family plan, who had upgrades coming up, etc. The associate that was«helping» me kept trying to sell me more data and other more expensive plans after I had repeatedly told him I was not interested, and then proceeded to get defensive when I said no. His solution was for me to «go call Verizon’s customer service line.» For the amount Verizon is charging me for monthly services, it would be nice to have someone help me out once every two years when I walk into one of their stores. I will never go back and I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone.

I’ve been coming to this branch for years simply out of convenience because of the good location(I can swing by while shopping at the mall), but I am desperately looking for another Verizon store to go to in the future. I would say that 90% of my experiences at this store have involved rudeness or utter incompetence(or both) from the staff. On one of my recent visits, I switched to a new phone and asked them to transfer over my pictures. They said this wasn’t feasible. On top of that, my mom took my old phone, so we asked them to delete my contacts and then add her contacts. Instead, they failed to delete my contacts and added my mom’s contacts, mixing everything together. Like I said, utter incompetence. Rather than go back to the store and have them fix it(and probably make another mistake), my mom had to painstakingly delete each of my contacts manually. On another occasion, my mom purchased a phone through this store and had it shipped because it wasn’t in stock. She then brought it into the store and asked them to help her put a screen protector on it. The employee refused to help her because she hadn’t purchased it in the store. I don’t understand why these people are so rude. You’re getting paid to do your job, not to sit on your ass and give customers attitude. Too bad 1 star is the lowest rating you can give, because if possible I’d give this location 0 stars. Incompetence is bad enough. Add on a lack of courtesy and complete disregard for customer satisfaction and this place is completely unacceptable in my book.

I went to this store to check to see when I would be eligible for a phone upgrade(which was in a couple months). I was told the date and then waited for my date. I went to another store when I was eligible for my upgrade and they told me that I had already renewed my contract two months earlier. I responded that I had not and was still using the same silly phone. They said I didn’t take a new phone, but I upgraded my contract. I asked who in their right mind would renew a two year contract with a company and not get anything out of the deal? I had to fight it out with customer service before they corrected the problem. The Verizon rep at another store told me they probably did something on my account at this store to get commission and screwed me. I wouldn’t go back to buy an accessory from here.

Ok, so usually visiting tech support at a verizon wireless store is extremely painful. Last time I would have had better luck having someone in the GAP fix my phone. This store however was different, the service was great, they resolved my issue quickly and I was on my way… I live in Jersey City, but it was worth the trip for better service!
