A nice thing about the State Park is that you can drive into it, so if you bring food, you can pack it in the car and you’re set. Picnic benches and everything. But if you’re there all day, you may want something different. If you don’t want to get dressed up and to go to the restaurant next door, you can hike across the highway (watch out for traffic) and go to the Subway.
It’s actually a gas station, but they have a Subway in back. The staff are actually really nice — and with those $ 5 foot-​longs, it’s a great deal. The sandwiches aren’t really anything special. I mean, you can get Subway almost anywhere these days. But after a day at the beach, it’s some good eating.
