Overall great course. Only complain was the greens. The greens were so fast and so rough that there was no need to have a duvet tool. Really did enjoy playing this course though could use some nicer greens.

I have played here approximately 25 times. I really enjoy this course. It has some challenging holes and some easier holes that can help you make up some strokes. Staff is always amazing and the pace is usually less than 4 hours. The greens are amazing, they do play fast compared to other courses in the area, but isn’t that part of the challenge? They offer different yearly memberships that are very affordable and pay for themselves if you get out and use them. Aside from 1 bad year when the greens had some real bad trouble, I have no complaints about this course. It should be noted that the year I’m referring to they did adjust their prices accordingly and took care of the membership holders for the sub standard conditions without having to be asked. This is definitely worth your time to check out.

The NCCGA Texas Region hosted a tournament at Coffee Creek on April 5 – 6, 2014. The course was challenging but fair. The greens are incredibly fast, so you better be a great putter to play well out here. The staff is incredibily welcoming and accommodating. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a solid-18 holes at a fair price. Course is also very walkable. The NCCGA provides a competitive golf experience to non-varsity collegiate golfers. The Oklahoma State Club Golf Team won our tournament at Coffee Creek GC. You can learn more about the NCCGA at

I’ve played this course maybe 20 – 25 times. While odds of finding«lost» balls have greatly improved and the course made more forgiving by the recent clearing of a lot of brush, the course is still difficult. Most of the difficulty is with the greens. Let me say, I HATE these greens! A few years ago, after fighting some kind of blight, the greens were replaced with a dwarf bermuda hybrid. The greens are beautiful and fungus free, but the surface is now so hard it’s difficult to leave a ball mark. Ordinarily, being ball mark resistant is a good thing, but this is similar to putting on a warped pool table. The grain changes rapidly with the sun and makes accurate«reads» nearly impossible for average golfers. 3 putts are WAY too common and tend to sour the mood of an enjoyable round. Another gripe comes in the fact that the club is a bit more expensive than others. On a recent weekend(Sunday — 2:30 tee time), they had no special weekend offers. Most of their competitors offer breaks for play beginning after 2:00. Long story short, I like CC, but it’s probably 3rd or 4th on my list of favorite local courses.
