Out Christmas shopping with a friend, thought we would go thru the drive thru and what a fricking nightmare!!! Gave my order and the guy said«ok, I need to write this down…» So I gave him my order 3 more times… After spending 20 minutes just waiting to get to the window… They asked for my order again!!! Total time in drive thru was 35 minutes and a sandwich that wasn’t with the wait!!!

Service was slow without any other cars in the drive-thru. I ordered the Gyro and a large drink. As I bit into it a thought«I didn’t know Gyros had bacon» It didn’t, it was the hard outer part of the Gyro Meat that had gotten all dried out. The rest of the sandwich was dry and difficult to eat some Tzatziki would have helped. I thought over all it was expensive(about $ 9.50) for a mediocre sandwich.

I love the gyro’s here! I have not tried anything else because gyros are my favorite. I love the fresh ingredients and that you choose what you want on your pita. I also love that they have wheat or white pitas. Great service always!

Over $ 10 for a wrap, chips and drink. Flavor and quality lacking. I’d pay $ 7 max for the same meal again. Majority of the wrap was lettuce. I don’t think I’ll be back. This was my second attempt, thinking the first time was a fluke… nope.

No stars for this one. 1. they changed their hours and there is no notification online on their website. 2. very stingy with their falafel and meat. my falafel sandwich had exactly 1 falafel. crushing it won’t make it look like use added tons of it, mister. same goes for my husband’s gyro. hardly any meat in it. 3. the cashier tricked me into adding a hummus on the side. i asked him if the hummus was part of the sandwich or extra and he said it was part of it, but the bill showed he charged me a dollar extra for it. 4. the staff seemed very lazy and disinterested in being there. 5. pricey for what u get. for all the above reasons, the place sucks !! It should probably close down.

Used to eat here at least once a week. They must have had a huge turn over in staff because I don’t recognize anyone. The service has ready gone down hill. The food isn’t as good as it was but it is still good. I truly hope the management gets it figured out because it was my favorite place to eat lunch and often dinner.

I have not ate my food yet but the service was awful. They didn’t know how to make it as a regular gyro they wanted to split apart my pita bread even when I asked them not to make it that way there was a lot of confusion. I will have to see what the food taste like hopefully it taste good. I had to request feta to be put on the gyro. WTF! The euro meat was presliced take him out of the refrigerator without any protective wrapping. So I ate my food and it wasn’t bad but i would recommend it either. Cheap ingredients.

Disaster pit is more like it. I liked the pita and the veggies all fresh and the hummus and the tasziki sauce was good but what a management disaster. I’m here way after lunch hour and they were just scrambling. There were 8 year olds behind the counter? What was that??? I had chicken on my pita and why was there lamb that was supposed to be for the pita after mine in my pita too? Btw the lamb was great. The chicken was terrible — limp and rubbery and I’m not sure it was really chicken. The food was ok — but if I was a vegetarian and you got some meat spilling over into my food I would be very upset. Will not be going back.

I love Pita Pit, I really do. When I went to OU I frequented to location on campus corner. The last couple times I’ve visited my in-laws in Edmond, I’ve visited this location via drive-through and dining in. Colin and I hit the drive-through with 10 minutes to spare before they closed. When we pulled up to the window to pay, we were mildly scolded for ‘cutting it too close to closing time’ from an employee. While dining in our service was also on the rude side. In between taking the everyone’s order, the employee hopped on his cell phone with no regard leaving the next customer at the counter alone. Both times, I had the chicken caesar wrap. It was Ok but the bacon wasn’t cooked well enough. I still have fond memories of Pita Pit from my collegiate years so I’ll probably come back for nostalgia and hopefully make me a true believer again!

OK, I used to LOVE this place when I lived in Stillwater. I stopped in at the Edmond location and struck up a conversation with the woman behind the counter. Turns out it IS the one that used to be in Stillwater! The staff was so nice and when I ordered the falafel wrap they asked me if I was a vegetarian. I informed them I was and they let me know my veggies would be sautéed on a part of the grill that meat hadn’t been on. Hooray no meat juice! The soda dispense is one of those fancy ones that looks like it belongs on the Jetsons’ ship and it was stocked with Seagram’s sparking water in lemon lime flavor. Overall everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. Lots of healthy options, vegetarian options, and tasty combinations.

Whenever I walk into a restaurant and see it being ran by a bunch of high school or young college students, I groan a little inside because I can expect crummy service. I’m happy to report that wasn’t the case here at Pita Pit. On my first trip here, I got a thorough explanation on the menu and ordering process. Pita Pit reminds me of Subway except you pay first then move down the line to pick all the veggies. My chicken souvlaki pita tasted great. For my side, I got an Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookie — OMG amazing! Best cookie I’ve had in a long time and they’re only 59 cents each. My total was less than $ 10 so prices weren’t too bad. To call the food here Greek would be like calling Taco Bell Mexican. Don’t expect anything authentic. But if you’re looking for a decent meal and something different from the typical fast food joints, give this place a try!
