Edmonds Frame and Design came recommended to my by a family friend. We had just gotten an oil painting made for us and needed to have it stretched. Barbara game me an estimated price and a 2 week time frame. She called me within the time frame she gave me and let me know my painting was ready. The price was within her quote and the painting looked beautiful. She wrapped it up for me and I was on my way. Great work, great service.

On a recent trip to Cuba, my husband and I had the great fortune to meet Martha Jimenez Perez, a painter/sculptor in Camaguey. We purchased an amazing serigraph from her, babied it through the rest of our trip, and arrived home with the huge tube and no idea how to frame it. A few years ago, Barbara Mercer had done a terrific job for us on a very small print, so we decided to see what she thought about our new, very large piece of art. She took an organic approach to framing the piece. The hand-painted matting, the rustic framing — everything came together wonderfully, producing a stunning piece with which we are thrilled. Her framing ideas and implementation go far beyond just matting and framing. — simply stated, they have a truly creative flair, complementing and not detracting from the piece of art, itself. We’re happy, satisfied repeat customers!

I stopped in to get my diploma framed. After deciding on a frame and matting, I departed feeling comfortable with the owner’s knowledge and friendliness. However, after about a week, I stopped by to pick up my diploma and noticed that something looked«off». After spending roughly 10 minutes discussing the problem(she tried to blame the diploma for being crooked but it appeared to me that the framing and/or matting was off. She said she would fix the issue. After another week, she called and wanted me to come in to talk about the problem. I stopped in and she told me that the diploma was not straight. She used to the edge of the mat to show me that the letters of the diploma were off. I then measured the letters by using the edge of the diploma(more accurate, for obvious reasons) and the letters were totally straight. I attempted to show the owner this issue, but she became defensive and told me that she would fix it but would have to charge for it. I told that I felt uncomfortable paying for her mistake. She then told me that in 23 years she has never met somebody as rude as me. I found this interesting, given my consistent attempts to discuss the framing in a professional, courteous, respectful manner. It appeared to me that she was unable to take any kind of criticism. She told me I could take my(uneven, terrible) frame with me but she was going to keep my $ 90 deposit. I departed with that terrible frame, minus my $ 90. I strongly advise people against this place.
