My-T-Mart

Good prices, for a mart & friendly. The last two time I bought beer here they have tossed in a free bag of chips. Pretty, pretty, pretty nice thing to do. *Nods to Curb Your Enthusiasm*

Really not a fan of this place and I don’t want to say too much negative about it, but…
First off, I admit… on my last stop, I was going to grab a pack of smokes. It was Friday after work, I was heading out with a buddy, and thought we might be smoking. Well, I’ve been into this place a couple of times to grab something simple (6-​pack of beer, small milk), but this seemed like the simplest stop of all. I wanted a pack of smokes. American Spirits to be more specific. It seemed like a sure-​fire grab since there is a neon American Spirits sign in the window. There is a little plastic-​sealed display case at the counter of American Spirits cigarettes, displaying what I wanted, but sealed in plastic, along with other varieties of American Spirit cigarettes. I wanted American Spirit Mediums. I asked for them and the cashier wanted to know what color. I told him and he didn’t have them. He only had about 3 or 4 of the many displayed types of this product. I was bummed and asked for 2 packs of light ones, as there was a small chalkboard on the counter stating that you get $ 1 off when you purchase 2 packs. He didn’t give me the discount and when I gave him my card to pay, he told me one price, while the receipt I signed had another price that added a service charge for paying with a card that he didn’t mention. It was maybe $ 0.50 or so, but when he tells me $ 17.xx and gives me a paper to sign stating $ 18.xx, it’s kind of a bum deal when I didn’t even get what I wanted. I was in a bit of a hurry, though, so I took my bad deal, made note of the fact that 7-​Eleven is right around the corner, and decided to remember not to get taken again at this place.
