When we received the diagnosis of mom’s cancer, we were in so much shock and felt so much fear. Dr. Ward made everything much easier by being honest and explaining things such as what to expect and what the options were in such a way that we weren’t nearly as freaked out. My mom went for five rounds of chemo, and they took such great care of her. Their kindness and compassion was amazing and they really guided us every step of the way. My mom had such a high level of trust with Dr. Ward and all the nurses in the treatment room that she felt very comfortable each time she visited. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with cancer, but we are so grateful that the kind people at Swedish Cancer Institute made her days so much better.
