Enjoyed The Loft for the second time and love the Happy Hour menu, the wines, the drinks, the plates, and the desserts. Good servings and good service, and a great crowd to share it with. This is a winner experience.

The food was good and old fashioned properly made, the only things is they were burning something and no ventilation so all smoke came upstairs and was really bad.

I’ve been here several times just for drinks and food in the non-restaurant part, and the experience has been wholly positive. It’s a very classy bar with upscale décor that’s tasteful. I’ve always experienced fabulous service, and when the owner’s been on site, he has come out and spoken with the customers to make sure they are happy. The drinks are well made consistently and the food I’ve ordered has always been really tasty. It’s nice to find a place of this caliber when visiting tiny little Edmonds, where everything else seems to shut down by 6:00 p.m. Great place to meet a friend for a cocktail and some food. Also, my friend and I(both of us Irish) were looking for a nice place on St. Patrick’s Day to celebrate where the crowds weren’t so thick they were spilling out the door and so loud and rowdy that you couldn’t hear the person next to you. So we popped into the Loft in the afternoon, and we had the nicest experience that we’ll always remember. It was a lovely soothing environment, classy as always, and we were waited upon like we were highly valued customers. My friend had an Irish coffee, I had a Bailey’s Irish Cream, and we were able to have a lovely visit together celebrating the day in a special way, thanks to the Loft. I love the Loft!

Mixed feelings: three of us dined at The Loft last night, at a table up in the eponymous loft. The food was very good, and the menu and wine list large and well-chosen. But the loft was so dark that we had to use a cell phone light to read the menu, and the noise level was so high as to make conversation difficult. Our waitress was possibly new, which might help explain how she forgot to put in the order for one of us; in the end the two of us who got our food shared, but it was disappointing. It seems like a nice, cozy place, and was certainly full and busy, but our experience did not encourage us to come back any time soon.

The Loft is one of our favorite places in Edmonds. The patio in the back is simple décor, in the winter with heaters, and the staff are very attentive. I have eaten in the bar, the loft and the patio. In the summer we enjoy the sidewalk dining(with great people watching). My favorite is the patio, as it is not as crowded and allows for conversation. I have referred several friends and never have regretted it. Its a little on the low key side, reminds me a little of Hawaii décor. I welcome the simple approach. And the food is really tasty.

I think I’ve already reviewed the loft, but I just have to say again how much I love this place. Clean, great service, the wine beer and cocktail menu is awesome, I’m never too cold or too warm, the atmosphere is great. I always order the steak they have on the menu, and it’s a little different, but equally delicious each time. Best of all, it’s really fairly priced. I wish I could eat there every night. It’s our favorite spot in Edmonds.

I was a first time customer and enjoyed the food and the service. I signed my check via the electronic pad. I realized when the system offers the customer the option of adding a 15, 20, or 25 percent gratuity the establishment HASTHE9.5% sales tax as part of the check total. THISISUNACCEPTABLEINTHEINDUSTRY! Sales tax is NOT part of the gratuity, RATHERITISIN A SEPARATECATEGORY. I believe customers are being deceived. A customer can elect to chose the percentage of TIP but PLEASE be professional and DONOT have the sales tax as part of that total. KEEPITSEPARATE !!! If I want to leave a 20% gratuity on a $ 100. check then my total check will be $ 120. PLUS9.5% sales tax. SIMPLEANDHONEST.

I have to first state that the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was prompt and attentive. We purchased a Groupon and could not wait to try this place. That being said, I was very disappointed in our treatment here as customers. We ordered a couple drinks, an entrée, and a three course meal. Well, a $ 75 or so bill later and we present our Groupon. Our waitress kindly attempts to run the coupon code but has to come back and apologize, stating our Groupon could not apply towards the meal because it cannot be used with promotional offers. We did not realize that a three course meal was considered a «promotion», and simply assumed it was a menu option or special that is always offered! An honest mistake — however, our waitress explains that all she needs is an override code to allow the computer to accept the Groupon. Unfortunately for us, she requested the code from the owner but the owner declined to give it to her and expected us to pay full price. Now I will happily pay full price for a meal I ordered, but I draw the line at being forced to come back to a place I’m not happy with just to use a damn Groupon! Giving these people more of my business was not part of my agenda at all. Fortunately, I found a loophole in their system and requested she place the«promotion» on a separate bill, so that the computer allowed the Groupon to apply to all the other items we ordered… This worked, but I am disappointed that the only reason we were leaving happy that night was because of a loophole I had proposed. It’s really a shame too because prior to this, we had been discussing how we were looking forward to coming back; however, I cannot support an establishment that values their customers(and my business) so little.

Pork belly is a must try. Also the Bruschetta with Goat Cheese Mouse was immaculate. Perfect ambiance upstairs for a dinner date with Bae.

The Loft has been a favorite of mine for years. The food has been consistently outstanding — fresh, gorgeous, perfectly cooked and flavorful. It’s one of the few restaurants I go to regularly where I don’t stick with one or two dishes once I’m familiar with the menu. They have so many great options that I mix it up every time. The best spot to dine is the patio. It’s a large open space that feels like outdoors but is enclosed and protected from the weather. They have a good distribution of space heaters to keep the environment comfortable year round. The loft area is more private and intimate but can get quite warm — not a good choice in the summer. It looks like most of the reviewers’ complaints are about slow service. I’ve never noticed a problem but I don’t go there when I’m in a hurry. My advice — don’t pick the Loft if you’re looking for a quick bite before moving on to something else. But if you want a leisurely meal with wonderful food, the Loft will give you the experience you are looking for.

It is a rare occasion when I visit a restaurant that arouses every one of my senses the way that the Loft has. My first visit here was out on their large enclosed garden-like back patio. Surrounded by beautiful natural bamboo, a wall of sparkling trees, and ambient lighting; their patio is sure to impress any attendee. The upstairs loft is quaint and the perfect hidden area for a romantic or quiet date. Every time I’ve come in, I’ve been greeted by knowledgable, friendly, and speedy staff. Now down to the nitty and gritty … The food and drinks… They are hands down amazing. I highly recommend the sangria and the cucumber basil martini! I literally could go on for hours about their food, but I think you should just come in and see for yourself. Let’s just say that I’ve cleaned my plate every time I’ve been here and can’t help coming back for more. Hands down, do yourself a favor and check out the Loft in Edmonds.

Been here multiple times and service is still lagging. I suppose some days are better than others. HH is limited.(Choices: between HH only or dine in – not both) Some drinks are not avail. Well…that reminds me why I rarely come here. One reason I do come here – it’s in the neighborhood. On the flipside, nice ambiance(romantic and intimate), reasonable menu, and clean. Lots of parking on the streets.

Waited over 30 minutes for our 2 appetizers before the waitress came back and said our order got stuck behind a larger group. Right… Don’t sit upstairs if you don’t want to be forgotten. Might be good food but we wouldn’t know. Although the Shirley Temple and iced tea were well worth the $ 6. Make sure and get the free refills!

«Enticing entrees, strong cocktails, great ambience, and strained service staff.» Let me first begin by saying I will revisit this café to see if the the service is different from what I have encountered. I noticed the service was sparse and the restaurant was packed. The wait times for tables was minimal and it helped that the café had a terrace, bar, loft, and patio seating. The menu provided a wide range of selections and cocktail list provided a comprehensive list for any happy hour adventures. We initially ordered a Rose and Aviation Martini as pre-dinner cocktail. Both beverages and waters took a long time to come out. Our server was apologetic and immediately took our entrée orders. I ordered the pork belly and Kobe beef sliders. We waited longer for our entrees and water refills were not provided. I was able to get the attention of another server and requested more water. The entrees arrived about 40 minutes after our initial order and sadly there was still no water. The pork belly was tasty and the maple mustard glaze added a good depth of flavor. The petit arugula was just the right amount and complimented the decadence of the pork belly. The Kobe sliders was cold and a bit dry. My overall initial impression of the café is that the service staff was strained and the long wait time for our entrees and water definitely affected the experience.

The food was good, the service was horrible. It was kind of busy but a couple that sat down after us was served before us. I will think twice about going there again.

We were celebrating a birthday and decided to go eat at The Loft. We were all quite happy & surprised that on a busy Friday evening that the owners made room for our party of 12. A lot of times it’s hard to get good service when you have a large party. Our service was outstanding! Our food was excellent, we all shared our many entrees. I especially liked the Grilled Spanish Octopus, Summer Chicken Salad and Burrata. I’d recommend«The Loft» to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, awesome food and impeccable service.

The loft is a little neighborhood gem in downtown Edmonds. My sister and I came here a few nights ago to use a Groupon she bought. I was curbing my expectations because I’ve had some off-experiences with restaurant Groupons in the past. What a pleasant surprise, this place is great! The restaurant itself has a few tables downstairs and upstairs in the loft area. It also has an adorable outdoor patio in the back with several more tables. We opted for loft seating and prepared to feast. We started with a couple cocktails and their beet salad. The salad was amazing, the beets were delicious, and the goat cheese was soft and added the perfect delicate touch. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered several more plates(ordering from the small plates menu). Kobe sliders, truffle fries, roasted brussel sprouts, and risotto. Did I mention we were hungry? We actually were surprised at the amount of food, for«small plates» they were huge. And they didn’t compromise quality for quantity, each dish was completely on point. We ended up taking a good bit home. Ill definitely come back again, their happy hour menu looks insane(7 days a week!) and their service was awesome. Check this place out, you’ll be happy you did.

I came here for a company event and it was so fantastic that I decided to have our birthday celebration here. To say everything went off without a hitch is an understatement. We were able to reserve the entire(GORGEOUS) courtyard for our party. I planned the menu carefully with Nico’s(the owner’s) wife over several weeks, told her my max that I wanted to spend, and that was it. She kept the evening well under-budget, and made sure everything was perfect. Plates were brought out promptly and a careful eye was kept on empties, which were removed and replaced almost immediately. Drink orders were seamless, with someone exactly where you needed them to be whenever you felt like a drink. My guests are still raving about the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food, and I will definitely plan another party here. Definitely a birthday to remember!

I really really want to like this place. And I feel like a bit of a goof for coming back for the same crappy service over and over– but atlas I think I am finally breaking up with the Loft. The food and drinks are great! I don’t mind the shorter menu– but you would think that would make the kitchen faster? Not so much. My husband I waited 60 minutes for our food– even his Caesar salad. The wait staff is okay– they are so under staffed(always) that is makes it hard. It’s almost like they have just given up. I am sad! This place is super close to were I live and it has sooooo much potential. However unless ownership changes– I would be crazy to go back.
