I give this place 4 stars because I love JJ’s. I’ve been here more than I’ve checked in because I’m in and out so fast I wouldn’t even remember to do so. I have eaten in which it’s always clean and a friendly hello from all the employees and always someone to tell me have a great day as I walk out the door. Sometimes even before I’ve paid my sandwich gets handed to me. So if you need a fast bite and don’t mind walking in to get your sandwich it’s a great place to go. I even requested JJ’s plate platter for my my wedding lunch for bridal party and family. I always and will always get the #16 club lulu. Can never go wrong with turkey and bacon, I never get mayo or tomato though their mayo is delicious. I opt out for the healthier option of the Dijon mustard and put some onions on it. Cheese is extra if you wish to have some. Their salt and vinegar chips are amazing and my husband loves their BBQ ones.

Ordered a party platter for New Years Eve. we asked for some hot peppers on the side and were told they can’t do that? We asked why and the girl said Jimmy said no? When went to pick up order we asked why they can’t do it at Edwardsville but the Collinsville location can, employee just shrugged shoulders. Jimmy why are you doing this?

I am flat out ADDICTED to this place! The #2, #9, and #10 are phenomenal, and the box lunches are like getting a little piece of heaven right in the middle of work. And they deliver. I couldn’t ask for more.

It’s good food at a great price with good service. This one always has music blaring, though. It’s hard to hear a friend across the table.

I am a fan of Jimmy John’s. Their sandwiches are very tasty. This particular store is well maintained and clean. My only issue with this store is they usually have the music up so loud it is hard to carry on a conversation.

An Illinois original, established in Charleston back in ’83. If you’re looking for a basic sandwich and chips kind of meal, then this is the place. I like the powerade at the soda fountain, currently mountain berry burst. Good for lunch or late nights, since it’s open ’til at least 2:00AM

I’ve been to Jimmy John’s(JJ’s) many times over the years, and I’m a big fan. The prices are a little higher than unusual for sub sandwiches, but it’s worth it. The fact that the each sub on their menu has set toppings works to JJ’s advantage — there are no long lines of people requesting specific toppings like they have at Subway. If you buy a sub, chips, and drink, you’ll be spending around $ 9.00 all together. Not too bad, but not quite as cheap as hitting up a fast food place. Another advantage of JJ’s over Subway is the selection of specialty kettle-cooked chips. I love jalapeño and salt and vinegar chips, and these varieties are simply not available at Subway. I order different subs on the menu, but my favorite is #9, the Italian Nightclub, with peppers. I used to order my subs without any additional toppings, but then my brother informed me that adding cherry peppers is free. If you like a little spice, I highly recommend it. JJ’s has managed to retain its unique flavor despite being a chain. They have a number of quirky and downright hilarious signs throughout the restaurant. Some of signs are actually deep enough to make you think. All of them look brand new, so I can only assume JJ’s has a company whose main purpose is to crank out signs with their unique jokes, slogans, and sayings. JJ’s does have its annoyances. Employees are trained to greet each customer using a high-volume yell as they enter and exit the building. This creates an annoying cacophony of hellos and good-byes, especially around lunchtime, when people are constantly coming and going. Also, there’s a reason why JJ’s deliveries are«freaky fast»: they have a very small delivery area, perhaps two miles. I’m not sure what their actually delivery distance is, but they don’t delivery to my house(downtown Edwardsville), and they never seem to delivery to anyone’s house that I’m visiting. All in all, JJ’s is an above-average sub restaurant that provides a good alternative to Subway. The subs may not be as healthy as Subway’s, but they will be delicious and made freaky fast. Plus, they offer delivery service(if you live close enough), something that Subway has yet to offer.

I’ll give them 3 stars. They are no Subway and they don’t try to be. I can see why this place is popular with the college crowd — especially the men. Heavy on the meat and cheese, very few vegetable options(hope you really like shredded lettuce!) and white bread. Basic but done right and filling. The signs on the walls are a hoot.
