Service was ok but food was mediocre to flavorless and margaritas were unbearable. I was super optimistic because it’s in my way home but have had it 3 times now and never a good experience.

Excellent local eatery took Mom out for Mother’s Day and everyone was satisfied. Gabie was performing which was enjoyable. I had chicken and steak enchiladas, mom had the bbq pork and wife had chicken Parmesan, everyone had leftovers.

The atmosphere and décor is really nice. 99 cent margaritas on Thursdays. I’m not sure why everyone keeps reviewing this place saying it’s bland. I thought there was just enough spice in the complimentary salsa, and especially in the jalapeño aioli on my fish tacos. My only complaint is that the fish on my fish tacos was very undercooked the first time they came out, so I had to get it remade and only started eating when the other members of my party were finished. The fish tacos were good enough for me to come back and try something else again. Really enjoyed the Mexicali slaw. Nice to find fish tacos without onions.

We’ve visited this establishment quite a few times now. Each time we stuck to the Mexican part of the menu. I’ve tried the tamale, burrito, enchiladas and fish tacos. All are good solid food but nothing to make it special. The rice and beans are rice and beans. Chips are warm and fresh and the salsa is homemade, but very bland and could use a little seasoning. The restaurant itself is clean and appealing, but a bit out of the way and each time I have visited, there are very few customers. I would like for this place to make it, but I think they may have to step up to plate with a little more ummmph!!! to make it happen.

Great service and great food! Pleasantly surprised that all the pasta dishes are made with homemade pasta. And the fish tacos have a very good flavor and bloody Mary’s are good! Location is the only downfall. Next to some rundown buildings but that’s something I can over look with good food.

More expensive than it appears. Pasta and meat balls were over spiced with oregano and artificial smoke flavor while Mexican food was bland. beer was $ 4,75 wine $ 9.00 for $ 7.00 a bottle wine. Only thing they have going is location, across from junk yard.

Mexican and italian under one roof but neither are done very well. We went as a family, half ordered mexican and the others italian. Lackluster dishes… Lasagna was the worst item to arrive. Service was terribly slow and the chips and salsa came out right before the food. We were excited about the concept but disappointed in the quality.

Good food. Friendly people. Fresh ingredients. I love this place! The BEST panko chicken strips, grilled fish was awesome with rosemary potatoes and grilled veggies. Lemon chicken is to die for. Everyone is very friendly and service is great. Idk why they aren’t packed every night!

Not very good service. I think the chips came right out of a bag, and it would’ve been nice f they were at least a little warm. The cheese dip was good though. The salsa had no real flavor at all. And then we found a hair in the chips. I got the pizza which was surprisingly good. It took a long time for the food to come out which was odd because we were one of only two tables there and the other table had their food. My boyfriend got the pasta and side vegetables the vegetables were cooked well but had no flavor. His pasta was good but very very oily. I don’t think we will be going back.

My friend and I went for Mexican. I asked about chips & salsa and was told they couldn’t bring them till after we ordered the entrée. We ordered the special cheese dip which was fine. The salsa appeared fresh BUT bland. My friend ordered enchiladas I ordered the chimichanga. He said the enchiladas were fine. The chimichanga had nice filling and was fried nicely. The same cheese sauce was on it as well as a gloppy cold brown sauce. The accompanying rice had nice flavor the refried beans were straight from a can. After ordering we waited over 30 minutes for our food. The waitress told us 20 minutes the kitchen was slow — an understatement. There are certainly better Mexican restaurants in Edwardsville.

Very good food. Surprisingly, it was exactly what I expected. I was expecting a diner food /comfort food take on classic Italian and Mexican dishes and that’s exactly what I got. If you’re looking for authentic, this might not be the place to go, but authenticity is only sacrificed for comfort and flavor. I tried the fish tacos and my wife had the chicken fajitas. We also shared an order of queso loco dip with chips. Though the queso claims to be made with queso blanco, the cheese was yellow. It tasted more like a mild cheddar cheese gravy with rotel and that’s not a bad thing. The fish tacos had great seasoning and although the shells were greasy, it was very good. The chicken fajitas surprised us because of yellow peppers instead of the red we’re used to. We normally don’t like yellow peppers because they are more bitter, but it was just the right flavor to go with the chicken. Overall, it was a good experience. And having Jarritos(especially tamarind) is a great touch. The dining area is still a bit noisy with its bare walls, despite much effort with the sound dampening panels, but not nearly as bad as other places in Edwardsville(We’re looking at you, Cleveland-Heath). The walls are lined with electric outlets just above eye level, but they all have covers on the ports. I think they’re missing a great opportunity for the business lunch crowd. A few cents of electricity right at the table is a great draw for those with laptops. I’ll be coming back and trying the italian side of things — especially their Italian Beef.

This restaurant opened within the past month, so I can understand service that is not quite solid. The building has undergone a major renovations and looks great. The menu is rather limited, but should have enough to satisfy most folks. They serve a combination of Italian and Mexican dished. Our table of four had three different entrees and found them all OK. I’d rate the pizza above average. We sampled bot the salsa and quac. They both appeared to be freshly made bit lacked any character whatsoever. Several of the menu items would appear to be priced a couple of bucks higher than what I would consider fair. The craft beer selection is above average for a casual dining place.

New place. Neat concept. It’s obvious that everyone here is working hard. Still needs plenty of work. Underwhelmed, but everyplace starts somewhere.
