The YMCA is a wonderful place I can take my special needs daughter– she can swim and walk on the indoor track– and is looking forward to use the treadmill– every employee is so nice and welcoming– I feel comfortable bringing my family– because my daughter fells safe there. And that is a BIG deal!!! God bless them.

E’ville’s YMCA is a two-campus hub of community recreation, well managed, well maintained, a cut above YMCA facilities I’ve known in other communities. In addition to very nice fitness centers and gymnasiums at both locations, The Esic Center(«old» Y) has indoor pools and racquetball courts. The Meyer Center(«new» Y) features five indoor tennis courts, a skating rink, outdoor pool, and rock-climbing tower. We’ve had a family membership off and on through the years, which is reasonably priced, and may be paid for conveniently with a monthly debit from our bank account. The main reason that I don’t use the place more frequently is that I run into too many people I know, and my workout time is doubled with personal and work-related conversations. I’ve been advised simply to say«hello,» and keep moving through my workout, but that’s easier said than done among this flock of friendly fitness fanatics. What is a «con» to me is a «pro» to others — The YMCA Edwardsville is deservedly a VERY popular place.

Your YMCA membership here gets you access to two locations — the Esic location and the Goshen Road location. They offer more programs than imaginable at both locations, but I really love the rollerskating rink and I want to try the rockclimbing wall and indoor tennis courts at the Goshen Road location.
