I have only been once but I want to go back! Really good food and fun atmosphere! My Aunt loved the daiquiris!

The food is always good here, whether you eat at the hibachi grill or in the dinning room. You get a lot for the money. We ate in the dinning room on this visit and it too quite awhile to get waited on, even though we were seated right away and they were not very busy. Considered leaving, but the server finally showed up. Service was okay after that. Just took awhile to get started.

We ordered chicken teriyaki and two sushi rolls — one eel, one salmon. The chicken was cooked well and sauce was flavorful, but I would have preferred more veggies(it just had a few pieces of broccoli on the side). Sushi was pretty unimpressive and the wasabi was pretty tame. If you come here, I would suggest trying the hibachi, maybe that’s better. Service was good and ambiance was typical. Sweet bathroom door with a sumo wrestler on it.

The staff are all very friendly and entertaining! Such great food, lots of options, a lot of food for your money as well. Coming here is definitely something different from the usual dining experience. A lot of fun!

This was my third time here and the sushi just gets better each time. We had the Armageddon Roll with tuna and spicy tuna, which is delish. Even better than that is the Pink Lady Roll. A crab, cucumber, Avocado, Cucumber roll wrapped in seaweed and pink soy paper topped in crunchies. If you stop in and a looking for some yummy sushi, I highly recommend this. You won’t be disappointed!!!

The price range varies depending on what you get. My husband took me here on are anniversary and we want the hibachi grill area an was able to get it all to ourselves which is pretty rare bc they do seat you with other Ppl but its more fun that way too, the cooks were freakin amazing doing tricks and cooking the food in front of us. When are food was done it was so good I had gotten somthing with crab and lobster an shrimp in it an it was so well cooked an soooo good lol I recommend this place to anyone who loves Asian cuisine as much as I do!

One of the best family restaurants in town. The food is always very good and is consistently among the best. We sit and eat at the tables in the dinning are because we have seen their hibachi grill show and while they do it well it’s the same every time.

Note: This write up is just for a lunch time visit with sushi only. I’ll be back again to try other items and will update this review as necessary. The inside is very clean, and the tables are spaced out sell enough. The décor is dark woods, on the walls and floor, and the lighting is a bit dim, so as one fellow Unilocaler mentioned, the inside is a bit dark. The lunch menu is basic and covers the typical items one would expect to see at a Japanese restaurant, with some appetizers, a selection of sushi rolls to choose from as well as a few bento boxes. On the lunch menu, they did have a good deal on any selection of 2 or 3 rolls to which I ordered a Philly, Spicy Tuna and Yellow Tail. While waiting for the sushi, the salad came out and it has a very good, creamy dressing. I was slightly disappointed when the rolls came out as I found them to be somewhat small. They held together while picking them up from the plate and getting a quick dip into my soy-wasabi mixture. The Philly was really good, the Yellow Tail was also good, but I found the Spicy Tuna not very tasty as it was too bland. While I looked about to see what other patrons ordered, it appeared the noodles were a popular item so on my next visit, I’ll probably fit them in. The Hibachi side of the restaurant also looked nice. I’ll certainly be back to try out other roles, a bento box or two and of course the Hibachi side too. Stay tuned!

This is the first sweet noodle I had. Maybe some one likes sweet may also like the food here. Sushi is normal. Not much comments for the restaurant but they have good business.

Décor is a little dark and once in a while you get an employee that never smiles. Overall, the food is pretty good but I hate the fact that you leave there smelling like a grill. I guess I can’t be helped since they offer hibachi and regular dining. House salad dressing is wonderful; Creamy with a hint of ginger.

We have been here twice now, the first time was just my husband and I, and the second time was with our two sons ages 6&8. We chose The hibachi grill both times and had the chicken hibachi both times. the first trip was nice, the food was good but the atmosphere,(being crowded around a giant U shaped table full of strangers), was not what we wanted for our date night. Totally not the restaurants fault of course! So the next time we went we were sure to take the kids and I have to say THEYLOVEDIT! The chef was very entertaining, and seeing the kids faces when the flames went high was well worth the cost. Incidentally the cost really isn’t that bad for the amount of food that you get. We knew from our first visit that you get a lot of food so we had our kids split a meal and they had enough that they still had leftovers. We all had leftovers!

Very tasty but a tad expensive. I recommend the lobster crab roll and the fried rice drizzled with the white cream sauce. Mmmm yes fried rice was surprisingly the best part of the meal.

Stopped here while passing through the area on a long drive — saw it while looking for Starbucks. We got the Asia roll, the New York roll, salmon sashimi, and a house salad. The place is about what you’d expect for a sushi place in the area, maybe even a little above expectations — nothing to complain about but also not blown away. The rolls were tasty enough but a bit skimpy on the fish. Quality of the fish was good enough. Three stars for being nothing special, not to indicate anything wrong with the place. I’d come back in the same situation, just have realistic expectations.

On the road from Chicago to Carbondale, my son and his friend and I stopped in for a light meal. I had the vegetable tempura and the batter was a little bit heavy for my tastes. I also had the vegetable hand roll, which I found much more refreshing. My son had vegetable lo mein, which was plentiful and very tasty. His friend had some tuna and salmon sushi rolls, and he seemed to enjoy them, though I didn’t try them at all since I’m vegetarian. The service was friendly and fast. Overall, stopping here was a good experience.

Came here on recommendation of front desk at Hampton Inn. She gave a great recommendation. Sushi & sashimi was excellent & very fresh. The sushi chef had good plating skills. Service was good too. They also have habachi, but will have to try that next time. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Had lunch here a few short weeks after opening. They seem to be doing fairly well for a new business serving asian food in a small town. It was not crowded by any means but there were a handful of tables. We had the hibachi — shrimp, steak, chicken. It came with salad and either fried rice or noodles. Everything was as expected, nothing great, nothing terrible. It was a bit on the salty side. They seem to be very liberal with the soy sauce. The ginger salad dressy was more creamy and mayonnaise based than you usually find. The hibachi show was fun, with the egg juggling and fire tricks and onion volcano. Overall I think its a nice addition to the local dining scene.
