This is a genuine, mens barber shop ! For those of you who grew up going to a barber with your dad, this place will bring back those memories and experiences. Not to mention it costs $ 13 for the haircut and not $ 20 like most other places charge for 8 minutes worth of work. The barber is friendly as are the regulars. I’m new in town and they welcomed me as soon as I sat down and was pulled right into their conversation. For the short time I was there we talked about politics, fishing, a little bit of town history, and the antics of one of the wives. The barber did a good job in cutting my hair, using the electric sheers briefly and mainly using scissors, which is the way I like it. As he was finishing up he lathered some shaving cream around the back of my neck and used a razor for a clean shave! A practice almost unheard of in this day and age. Oh yea, you also sit in an old time barber chair, which is a wide seat and comfortable, not the type most salons have which are designed for a woman and most guys end up getting squeezed in and the foot rest is so narrow you have to crunch in your legs, thus straining your package. So it was refreshing sitting in a nice wide chair here ! So, if you’ve not been here, I would recommend it. The service is friendly, quick, and the clientele is also friendly. and did I mention it only cost $ 13 !! I’ll certainly be checking in here again !
