Very nice Italian fine dining spot on the main road. Had live music. Took a date there and we were both pleasantly surprised. Should have put in a song request for the Nora Jones song for a dance in front of everyone. Missed a nice opportunity…

Food is delicious here and always has a crowd! Live music some nights. I was a party of 4. We had a round of cocktails to start. Then we ordered(2) orders of the baked clams and a Margarita pizza. All was devoured in minutes. They serve warm bread and butter too. All entrees we ordered came with a salad. I had the linguine with garlic and oil and added grilled chicken — perfect! Boyfriend had pasta with sausage and peppers. ate it all! Father had lasgana. ate it all! Mom had an appetizer of oysters, said they were great. We had no room for dessert! Waitress had a veryyy dry personality. Maybe she had a long day… who knows. But not going to let that ruin the review!

A Touch of Italy never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious. Service is top notch. The manager attentive and responsive. The owner is almost always present. This is a very hands on family run business. A touch of Italy does not rely on past successes but always strives to keep the menu selection fresh(Nightly specials are always great). Also the chef is willing to modify any dish on the menu to suit personal tastes. I have even asked the chef to make a prior nights special and he has always been happy to do so. Excellent customer service.

Came in with 20 people after my wife & a friends wife graduated. Both going to school many years to receive their Masters degrees. And, both doing this with small children. So, it really was a time to celebrate. Everything was great until my father in law entered & brought a Graduation cake, that was very expensive. We were told that if he brought this cake in, we would be charged $ 2 a person to plate our cake. Now, I understand that they want to sell desserts. But, this is ridiculous! 20 people eating here! We could have gone anywhere! And, this was a cake we had made for our wives special occasion. After, discussion with very upset family members it set a tone for the rest of our meal. Food was ok. Nothing great! I don’t say this out of anger. I say this cause I’ve had much better. The best part of our visit was our waitress! She was outstanding & very accommodating to our children who started getting restless, after being at graduation for 2 hours & then dinner! She was truly outstanding. We never had an empty drink and got everything right! Sorry to say… My family will not return. I’m sorry…20 people eating & we get charged for a cake that already cost us a lot of $. I could understand if they had graduation cakes. But they don’t. And we would have cut the cake ourselves! Just another way of beating you up for $…We are hard working people! And I didn’t appreciate the manager or owner not doing the right thing! Waitress 5 stars. Food 3… manager or owner 0.

Very disappointed with service and food. We got our salad then waited 40 minutes for our main meal. We had to wave down servers just to get drinks. Ordered filet mignon it didn’t even look or taste like it — tasted like very cheap quality steak. Told the waitress and she said it was butterfly cooked and would mention my comments to the chef. Overall not worth it. Will not be going back.

I have eaten there several times, and my favorites are the pizza and the veal parmigiana. I love their pizza, can’t go bad with a brick oven. Their service was awesome. I have also gone and sat at the bar. Very friendly bartender. When I want Italian food, I have 2 choices, go to Mulberry street(where I grew up) or go to a touch of Italy.

I rarely give five stars but the service was beyond perfect. Arrived for dinner an hour before closing. Bob took care of my order and the manager checked on my twice. The seafood here is a must-try. Caesar salad was perfectly balanced between cheese and sauce. Had the crab and veal. The meal was as close to perfect as possible with a sauce that was the ideal compliment to the meats. Don’t walk… Run down and get a table. Ask for Bob

Came here for a nice dinner without the kids. Got a table bye the fire place, my wife’s favorite spot. Went perfect with the snow falling outside. Both of our meals were excellent, along with the appetizer and dessert. I got the 3 courses for $ 25 meal. Great value. Only complaint is that the waitress was very slow. She never showed up to check on us, make sure the food was okay, do we need refills. Then once we were done eating and they cleared the table, no lie it took over 10 minutes to get the check. But other than the speed of the service, I would come back again.

By far the best Italian spot in south jersey. Excellent service, wonderful food, great prices. Specialty happy hour menu is excellent, the drinks are unique and made well, and the atmosphere is second to none.

Phenomenal food, get the seafood linguini. Gina at the bar is a joy to talk to and great food and drinks. Expect $ 50 a person with drinks, well worth it.

Very disappointed, truly. Good reviews on Unilocal RAVE about this place, but I just don’t see the wonderful. I went there with my family for a birthdays celebration. The atmosphere is quite claustrophobic. Upon entering, we encountered a performer who was singing and loudly amplified through the bar and restaurant areas, which are all basically open into each other. A host approached us from across the room and I could barely hear him to tell him we had a reservation. After walking away from us to confirm, we were seated. The buspersons were quite attentive and kept our glasses full and table clean. The server, on the other hand, seemed to be overburdened and gave us the impression she was on a schedule. The meal wasn’t rushed, but her visits to the table were hyper and quick. The appetizers, pizza bruschetta and arrancini, were delicious. Salad dressing was a pleasant creamy Italian, and the salads were fresh. I ordered Shrimp Fra Diavolo and was quite disappointed when it arrived with clams, which I despise. Apparently, I misread the description, though the server was more than kind to offer to show me the menu where I’d made the error. She did not, on the other hand, apologize and offer me something else. My brother ordered Chicken Picata, which he said was tasty enough, but it truly should have had at least a hint of brown to be considered well prepared. The desserts were quite pedestrian. My husband and I ordered Tartufo, and I don’t exaggerate when I say I’ve had better ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s. My mother ordered carrot cake and found it was okay. My brother-in-law’s cannoli was neither the right flavor or texture, and my brother described the tiramisu as «serviceable.» Only after being handed the check did I get an apology for the clams in my dinner. I highly doubt I will return.

What you pay for here is the best veal dinner EVER! This is a regular dinner venue for us when we’re down the shore for a weekend and we never had a bad meal. The price is just right for a dinner with a salad and rolls. Their homemade italian salad dressing is the best, the bread warm and fresh, the side of pasta wonderful, and the service top notch. You are paying for quality over quantity. If you want mounds of food and leftovers for days, go to a diner. For a fabulous meal, dine here.

Food was good, but not on par with pricing. I think the biggest drawback was the service. We expected a bit better service for the pricing.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Loved having a live singer coming through the speakers. Nice size menu and portion. My fiancé had the shrimp parm and I had the filet medallions. Both are very good and the marinara sauce is very tasty. The homemade creamy Italian dressing for the salad is amazing and def the dressing to get. The staff was great and bus guys are always on top of there game. The owner went to every table in our room except ours so that was a little annoying. Felt like we weren’t good enough to see how we were. Overall, very nice experience and will return when I am in the area.

This is the ‘go to place’ when I’m home visiting my mom. My motto is «I never met a carb I didn’t like» and boy-oh-boy do they satisfy my carb craving! Let’s start with the basket of hot! hot!hot! bread they bring to the table, the butter melts on contact & you can just go ahead and say good bye to your diet! As a vegetarian, there are plenty of options for me. I always try a different pasta dish and so far, I have not had one that did not launch me into a food coma induced euphoria. They are all home made, fresh, tender, cheesy goodness covered plates of heaven!!! The desserts… Lord have mercy … How long am I going to have to work out to burn them off? Last time I was there I had the Italian rum cake — delicious. So all this and 4 stars??? Their cocktail list is long & I like to have a few drinks before I eat. This place is good & good usually means busy. I feel like before you even get the first drink down your food is out. I like fast service too but this is too fast. I need to be able to get at least two drinks down before digging in. Does this deter me from going back??? Nope! Give it a try next time you’re in EHT.

This is always a consistent favorite of ours at the shore, and repeatedly has provided us with great, enjoyable meals. I come down with my boyfriends parents, and their entire extended family frequents this restaurant during the summer. For starters, the bread with fresh olive oil and herbs is warm and delicious. For apps, I love the roasted hot peppers, fried calamari, eggplant rollatini, Caesar salad, and chicken pastina soup! But everything comes out hot and looking great, so you have plenty of options. My personal dinner favorite is the penne alla vodka, which I normally wouldn’t order anywhere because my family is VERY Italian and my grandmother makes the most incredible vodka sauce on the planet. However, this is a very close second! The bolognese is delicious as well, and the pan seared swordfish and branzino are excellent fish dishes! They also have a great selection of wines and cocktails to satisfy anyone’s taste. Such a great place to come if you’re looking for great Italian food at the shore!

This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant on the face of the planet. I first started going here when they were in a tiny little storefront in a strip mall in Pleasantville. After they moved to their posh digs 22 years ago, I was always amazed at the great food and service. My family and all of our friends have long patronized this place. But within the past few years, this once great restaurant has really gone downhill. The food is mediocre and over-priced, and the service is awful. The servers are rude, often get the orders wrong and the general atmosphere is hurried and unpleasant. They need to get their act together, because they are going to lose a lot of long-time customers if this keeps up.

Been here for happy hour and it’s a great bargain. The appetizers, pizza, and drink specials during happy hour are very good and the food is very tasty. Last time though came for dinner. The dinner was good, but not great. The main reason I rated Touch of Italy a 4 is because of the happy hour. I would have rated just dinner a 3. Started out with a salad which was nothing special at all. Mainly lettuce with some addition vegetables. Then had the Monk fish special over penne. The marinara sauce was tasty but took over the monk fish taste. Didn’t really taste much of it compared to the sauce. My main complaint was the price. Over $ 30 for a piece of monk fish some clams and penne? Not worth it. Stick to the Happy Hour. The service was good, both at the table and the bar. We’ve also experienced the music which is always good.

To start off they give you a basket of warm bread, butter, their house aioli(SOGOOD!) and a bowl of freshly grated pecorino romano cheese. –down two cocktails. –ask for another bread basket(you know you want more…) –that order you put in? make that to-go. (can’t possibly fit more than two bites down that blowhole of yours can you?) –sleep
