A recent shopping trip to R n F has me convinced to go elsewhere. I spent over 2 hours with my saleslady. She was very nice, vey professional and knowledgeable about her merchandise. When it came time to pay, holy crap!!! Another 45 min? WTF? only one person at the checkout desk? Maybe they should spend some money on an additional cashier. This left me with a very bad impression and if i hadn’t really needed furniture, I would have left. I do like what I picked out and the delivery people were very nice and moved other things around for me.

We’ve had tons of experience with the folks at Raymour, but the service we had while on the hunt for a new sofa set wasn’t too awesome. The lady was as miserable as a wet cat… she didn’t smile when she greeted us and that’s fine and dandy but she watched us like an angry hawk… it was like we’re going to walk off with one of their sofa sets right out the front door… I didn’t appreciate that. So that was –1 star for service. Another –1 star was for the lack of comfort in the sofas vs the price. They were more expensive then their competitors in the area and were definitely not as comfortable either. This plus their service caused us to walk out the door before exploring deeper into their store. However we did like the option of bringing home furniture in our own vehicle, which the other competitors didn’t allow.

The biggest selection of furniture in the area. Many different brands and prices. One thing I don’t like is being stalked by sales people. I know they have to do it but I find it annoying. They charge for delivery but it’s pretty quick. It’s not Bloomingdales but you get what you pay for.

Recently bought a floor model here. HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE!!! WORSETHANBUYING A USEDCAR!!! I had the recliner for less then 48 hours and found out it was incredibly poor quality. When I called to ask for an exchange, I was flatly refused. The purchase was designated as «as is no warranty». I’ve never seen or heard of this type of policy before. This was not a discounted purchase and to further give the used car sale feeling they slip in an invoice after payment disclosing the«as is no warranty».

Aggressive sales tactics(NO I DON’T WANTTHEMATTRESSPADFOR $ 100) — unpleasant salespeople — and a bizarre policy that they wouldn’t take away my old mattress if the delivery men deemed it «stained.» So I’m gonna sit around with two mattresses? I walked out — went into Bassett next door — and had a lovely experience with Michelle. I got my mattress from them.

Amazing service from the greatest designer I have ever met. Wendy takes the time to get to know you and shows you stuff that will guide to your dream house.

For a retail experience the way the greet you coming and going and help you in the store is one other places can learn from. I understand they probably mostly work on commission but that doesn’t take away from the great service they give you. Price and delivery for the quality you get is great. Buying their platinum service plan and them replacing or fixing the product for a small extra cost up front sets them apart.

We recently purchased a condo near EHT that we are having remodeled. Unlike most condos, ours wasn’t sold furnished. So we had to pretty much start from scratch. Many of the furnishings were purchased at Raymour & Flanigan. It’s fairly traditional in style, not all ‘beachy’ like some other local furniture stores. This location is a huge store, and a nice selection, most of it in stock for fast delivery. You are greeted immediately when you enter the store, and directed to the areas with types of furniture you are looking for. On one of our early visits, a salesperson walked us through the store and stayed with us for probably a couple of hours, making helpful suggestions, and helping us make selections. In subsequent visits, we’ve had similar service. They advertise heavily locally, both in print and on TV, and it seems like they always have a sale going on. I can’t vouch for their many other locations, but this was a good solid choice for us. The only potential down side is that because there are so many locations, we may have the same dining room table as thousands of others in NJ, but I guess that’s the same risk you take when buying a dress at Macy’s.(BTW, we purchased two theater-style sofas there, with a hidden center compartment for remotes and cupholders on top, that are absolutely the most comfortable sofas I have ever sat in. They are space-savers, so can sit pretty close to a wall, yet fully recline to the point we think we could accommodate occasional overnight houseguests there, privacy issues aside. They were a house brand, so I can’t pass along any other info., but they are VERY comfy!!!)

We have shopped here a few times over the years. Our king-sized bed and my recliner were purchased here about five years ago. Today we came by to purchase a bed for my son and a new dining room set. We had in mind what we wanted for my son and it was easy enough to select once in the store. The dining room set was a longer process and the children were not as helpful. The staff was very accommodating to us. It was a simple purchase once we decided what we wanted. Delivery will be within a week. We earned a discount for the volume we have purchased. The clerk seemed newish so needed a bit of help from another employee to log the sale into their system. FWIW, they struggled having two cell numbers for us. All in all a decent experience.
