Towne Stadium 16 – Frank Theatres

During the time I went, I felt as though the theater was «adorable» it was a small older looking theater with velvet seats. It basically looked like the 80’s movie theater back in the day, it was pretty retro looking.
I know there are a lot of complains of it being dirty there, but when I went it was relatively clean. No trash and the theater itself was well kept. I also did not have any problems with temperature as well.
The only reason for a star deduction on my part was that the movie screen is pretty small and the room was narrow, so it felt like you were watching it semi far away which in my opinion isn’t really great for a movie theater. So yes it was pretty small… but this was probably the original design most theaters had back in the day. Otherwise, I had no problems with customer service, they were all relatively nice and friendly. The outside of the theater however does look old and the area itself does not scream family friendly versus their main competitor Regal. If anything the place should renovate their exterior.

Building is really looking old and worn. Ceiling tiles missing, trash cans catching leaks from roof. Theater we were in had no air conditioning. Only good thing was they only charged me for half the tickets since ac was out.

This theater is certainly out-​dated and needs a renovation. There is a small area for arcade games, a bar that apparently is in service at night, and in the theater we sat in almost every chair squeaked loudly when you moved. The reviews say the theater has a rodent problem. While I cannot support those statements, I wouldn’t be surprised. Nonetheless, we didn’t experience any problems with our whole experience from buying our tickets to watching the film. Sure, the place could be cleaner but for what it’s worth it’s a decent movie theater.

This theater is a dump. Very dated and dirty. Sat in 2 different seats and they both squeaked. Drinking fountain had dust on it. Paint peeling. I did see holes in the walls toward the ground and I thought that was kind of odd, and now I see its because they have a rodent problem.

They have a very bad rodent problem. Management knows about it. They are trying to resolve it but don’t want people to know about it. I think people should know.

The worst movie theatre I’ve seen:
–large popcorn in a paper bag was $ 9; they used some kind of rancid oil instead of butter; we couldn’t eat it
–room smelled bad, kind of like mildew
— spider web in bathroom stall
— worst thing was the room was cold; I asked the ticket agent if he can turn on the heat; he agreed to adjust the thermostat but it remained cold. We had on our winter costs.
— too dark in room prior to movie. My husband almost fell on a step he couldn’t see.
— needless to say, we wont go back!

I miss the $ 6 dollar tuesdays. It was great! We bought the refillable bucket for popcorn and went every week. I can’t afford to go every week if they want to charge 10 a person but I do like this place and I will continue to give them business every once in a while unless they bring it back. I’m excited for the bar I saw they have now, they said they can’t let you leave the bar with your drinks yet but they are working on it.

Super cheap movies prices but you get what you pay for…
Dirtiest theater I have ever been in. The place is falling apart and I doubt it would pass health inspection. They really need to do something about the mice and leaking roofs!

OK, so going to a movie at 10:05 pm on 1÷1÷15 sounded like a good idea (the crowds are gone). Three of us going to see two different movies (long story). Both movies were excellent, BUT I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Here’s why: NO HEAT in the theater (worse yet, the entire wing of the building had no heat). At least they gave us a 2 for 1 deal because our theater was heatless. Keeping our jackets on was okay, but my feet was frosty by the end of the movie. Oh, and the place is dirty and we were literally the ONLY patrons in our movie!

Tiny, uncomfortable, dirty seats. Filthy seating area. Soda was all syrup. Other patrons were incredibly rude… Phones going off whole time. House lights were fine for some reason before previews ?? Trip hazard and sketchy. Stayed down for duration of credits, causing people to use led flashlights on their phones to leave, blinding me in the process. Parking lot is all divots, pot holes and puddles. Only positives were pleasant cashiers and Star Wars arcade game in the lobby. Oh and there is a reflection??? Of the projection room or a window … On the wall directly to the right of the screen. Very distracting.

This movie theater was horrible we walk into the movie and there was trash everywhere popcorn all over the floor and during the movie I see something moving out of the corner of my eye and I look over and its a hurd of mice running all over the movie theater (stay away from theater #7) after the movie I told one of the employees about the mice and he made a smart remark «maybe people should clean up after themselves and there wouldnt be a mice problem» very unprofessional I do not recommend this movie theater to anyone unless you like hanging out with mice!!!

Pretty run down. The seats killed my back and the wife’s. Stopped here to kill some time on a Saturday.

Can’t beat paying $ 6 to see any movie at any time of day every Tuesday. I’m not sure if this is just an off-​season price or if it’s honored throughout the entire year.
The movie theater is a regular movie theater, nothing fancy but not completely disgusting and falling apart either. Concession stand is very expensive and they often don’t have enough people working, but since the place is hardly ever crowded it’s not too much of a problem.
I definitely recommend coming here on a Tuesday night for the $ 6 ticket price.

Leaking ceiling in theatre 14 rain was splashing on the floor and there was a huge puddle only 1 working sink in the women’s bathroom and no one seemed concerned when I reported both problems. Will not be going back

Ahhh, the Towne 16… many of rainy weekend days as a kid was spent here in the summer months. I haven’t been to a movie here in probably 20 years.(Yeah, I’m old, so what). Well, it was a rainy Saturday last week, so Big Poppa and I mosied on over from Ventnor to check out a movie.
The ticket price for a matinée was only $ 8.50 and $ 8 (Seniors), so that was a fun little discount to discover. They have stadium seating as well. And even D-​box seating to totally enhance your theater going experience. It sounds dirty, so it must be fun.
The theaters were clean and the popcorn was half way decent. I’ll definitely be back.

Water was dripping from the ceiling! 10 year olds were screaming and telling at a rated R movie, The Purge! Staff did nothing to stop them!

Ok theater. A bit run down with issues like colored blotches on the screen (that not everyone might notice), and everything is getting shabby, but has the indie/​arthouse movies that regal never carries.

Its a movie theater, good selection, nearby and clean. Service is fine. Up to date technology

Are you going to Atlantic City? Nothing to do? Obviously the many casinos, shows, food opportunities, and beach aren’t enough so you want to catch a movie! This is one of the closest theaters, let me tell you now. For an IMAX price, I’d rather come to Frank’s for their matinée prices of around $ 7. I literally came here 2 – 3 times in one week.
You’ll find that the theater staff, much like the area, is slow, but informative. The theater is empty or filled with young children, for lack of checking ID, or azn families who don’t know how to silence their phones. I’d like to say my movie experiences were ruined but, for the low ticket prices, not really.
Three stars for what you pay for.

I will not ever, EVER patronize this theater again. This is the most unprofessional, unintelligent, incompetent staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Boyfriend and I came here about a month ago for the opening of The Devil Inside. Typically we don’t do opening night showings, for obvious reasons, but we figured we’d give it a try since the film wasn’t hyped too too much. Keep in mind, this was a pretty graphic film and was rated R, for good reason.
We buy our tickets and proceed to the theater, at which time the guy tearing tickets reminds us that there is a «No noise policy tonight, so if anybody is making noise, please let us know.» We weren’t sure if this was a bad sign, signaling recent mishaps, or a good sign, signaling no tolerance for movie-​theater-​talkers. If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is people who talk during movies. I didn’t pay $ 10.50 to listen to your conversation with Sheniqua, and I don’t care whether you and LaDamian go to Applebees or Red Lobster after the movie. Anyway, I digress.
We walk into the theater, and it is packed, literally PACKED, with underage kids. When I say kids, I don’t mean 17, 16, or even 15 years old. I’m talking 10 – 13 years old. No parents, no supervision, NOTHING. The majority of this theater was loud, obnoxious, ghetto KIDS. We counted maybe 3 adult couples in the whole theather. We didn’t even get to the preview, and boyfriend was already up talking to a manager. The noise level was unbearable; they had to have gotten more complaints than just us. The poor guy tearing tickets at the booth had no idea what to say, and asked his assistant manager to come over. The assistant manager’s response? «Well, it’s not an NC-​17.»
Uhhh, no idiot, but it IS rated R which means nobody under 17 without a guardian. With the number of children we saw in here, and the lack of guardianship, there’s no way this place is checking IDs. They are so desperate to make a quick buck, they don’t even bother abiding by the law. We walked out of that theater quicker than you can say «Better Business Bureau.» Not, however, before locating the general manager and explaining the situation. He was extremely apologetic and gave us 2 free passes to use whenever we wanted. We did come back, during the day a few days later, because I was sure enough using my free passes. But trust and believe, that will be the LAST time.
Overall, a reprehensible establishment. They should be ashamed.
