Yummmm! Luv this place!

Gone in this location multiple times and they always forget something. either my side of tortillas, sauce etc. Their chips are always stale and unsalted. I recommend just going to the location in la mesa

People are friendly but don’t pay attention. Pollo loco has always had an issue with verifying there food. Maybe towards the end of the night. I have gone here on numerous occasions and didn’t receive everything I had ordered. This causes a huge inconvenience because I have to drive back home. Literally, they will forget tortillas and once even mac and cheese which was one of my sides. It could of been the mash potatoes though. The point is, pollo loco charges so much for chicken which I guess they think its fish or something, but if they do, at least provide with good service. I have had time I go there maybe ³⁰⁄₄₅ minutes or so and want to order food. You know what I have been told? We ran out of chicken. How do you run out of chicken??? Your pollo loco! Anyways, it is good food, but very unstable as to what to expect when you walk in and order your food.

Will never return, 30 minutes from the time we ordered our food until we finally asked for a refund. 4 chicken burritos was all we ordered. They couldn’t understand what the issue was.

I had the best experience at pollo loco ¹⁰⁄₁₅ it was busy but I got my food in a great timely manner and I also was surprised the man who was the cashier came and asked how everything was and was cleaning up ! I will be back ! The Tostado was on point !

Extremely slow service and high prices. The chicken pieces were the size of Cornish Hens. Absolutely ridiculous for the price. El Pollo Grill on Broadway in Lemon Grove is so much better. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I recently tried el pollo loco for the first time and it was this location. I have since gone back again and am eating lunch from them as i type this.
First — the Good
FOOD. So far ive tried the fire roasted chicken, chicken avocado burrito, beans, mashed tatoes, chips, corn tortillas and everything Ive tried ranged from pretty good to delicious. I was surprised. This place has this flavor style down to a science I think because it all blends SO well together. Be it the burrito ingredients together or the meal flavors eaten together… the food is good. Its fresh with crisp, flavorful ingredients and honestly it reminds me of home cooking. The may be a little more expensive than say a taco bell but i dont think i could compare TB to this. Polo loco is a different league quality and taste wise in my book.
I also had a guy there today honor a coupon for a ‘double combo’ when i wanted a chicken avocado burrito which wasnt included in the deal but he gave it to me anyways. I appreciated that and it did not go unnoticed.
Now — the Bad
SERVICE. My first trip here was interesting. Right at the ordering speaker i knew the girl wasnt paying much attention. She didnt answer my question correctly and messed my order up. I always order drinks with no ice and i got ice. I just told her 2 minutes ago. The yummy smell of the food got her out of it and i ignored her mistake. Also, she wasnt very personable. However, the guy I dealt with today over the speaker was great. I get to the window looking forward to some cusomer service this time and nope. I got another girl who acted like she didnt want to be there… and she gave me ICE again. But ill tell you. this chicken avocado burrito is more than making up for it right now. Its delicious!
One other minor complaint that they can do nothing about as employees is the drivethru layout. Its narrow and if you dont hit the turn just right, it can make you pinch the seat with your ass a bit as you hpe to not hit the wall. Also, the immediate right turn out of the drivethru, over the sidewalk and onto busy broadway can be challenging. Overall the drivethru layout os poorly executed, but these guys just work there so nothing personal. A little annoying all the same though.
Bottom line for me here is the food. I find it very satisfying and I think its healthier than most fast food also? thats what im running with anyways. Ill be back again

Slowest service ever. Since this was the closest location and the fam was really craving some El Pollo Loco, we were forced to come here. Although, next time… we will highly consider driving further away. By the time we received all of our order… most of it was cold. We literally waited about 25 minutes. I get that we ordered the family meal, but c’mon…give it to us all at once, and not some here… some there… and the rest after the first part of the meal is cold. I will avoid this location in the future

I called to place a phone order and the lady said to «call back in 20 min because they were too busy»… I got here ten min later to place the order in store and there were. Maybe 4 tables taken and a short drive thru line.
The food not only took a long time to make but after I just saw it sitting there for about 10 min wondering if it was my order. And I was right. It happened second time I went up to order a simple bean and rice burrito. Took 10 min to get that.
