Lipstick Jungle

I tragically lost my previous hairdresser to a cross country move, but in all darkness comes light (or bleach?)
Anyways, Kendra took the time to really listen to what I wanted and worked hard to achieve it.
She is very fast and extremely reasonably priced.
I’m so lucky to have found her and if your reading this, you will be too. But call her in advance because she is busy and books up early.

I went into the new location on a Tuesday to book a hair appointment for the following weekend, only one girl was available that day but only at a certain time. I booked it. I arrived that Saturday and noticed a tiny sign that said cash only, no debit or credit, wish they told me that prior. The girl that did my hair did a very poor job. I was not happy. She told me how tired she was and very much acted like it. I asked for my hair to look different as I had a event to attend, it looked worse. She spent little time and effort. Plus I had to worry how I was going to pay the whole time. I could go on but I will never go back there. The people there were not very professional or friendly. The new place is tiny. Too bad for them because I was looking for a good Salon in the area as Salon 1500 moved. Save your CASH and look else where. When I got home I re did my hair.

This place doesn’t look like it’s worth stopping at from outsiden but don’t drive by! Inside it is beautiful and Tammy is awesome!
She was recommended to me through some aquaintances. I was looking for a hair cut at an affordable price, and if there was room in my budget some streaks of color.
Tammy did a great job listening to me and verifying that she understood what I was looking for. I also have had some bad experiences in the past with my hair being dyed. NOT THIS TIME! I am so excited that I made an appointment with her just went with my gut. It was a great first expierence and I will be going back for sure.
Just a side note they don’t get many walks here, due to their location I’m guessing … so I would call for an appointment.

I totally agree with the other reviewer. They do an awesome job. Tammy cuts and colors hair wonderfully at this salon and I think the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!

Pam saved my hair!!!
So, this place wasn’t listed on Unilocal yet so I went through the trouble of making a page for this place because they totally deserve to be shared with the world!
I had gone to a different salon on a promotional ticket to get a brazillian blowout. I have really curly hair and I wanted to keep my curls but get them de-​frizzed (what the brazillian blowout website claimed would happen to curly hair). Well the OTHER salon put way too much product on and my hair is STILL trying to recover even though I’m past the 12 week mark. My curls and ego were devastated!
I looked up Pam, who owns Lipstick Jungle Salon, and told her about what had happened and I made an appointment. She was fantastic! She talked to me for 10 – 15 minutes during my appointment and played with the texture of my hair to really get a feel for what she could do. She really listened to the kind of cut and style I needed and explained to me tricks to bring my curls back!
The shampoo was AMAZING!!! She really scrubbed and massaged my scalp, definitely the best I’ve ever had at a salon! then she gave me the cutest haircut with layers and side swept bangs that really helped the curliness come back. To top it all off, she gave me a really cute style I was happy to rock and would be easy for me to re-​create on my own (LOVE That!!)
The best part was that she really listened to what I wanted and helped me love my hair again! Isn’t that the whole point?! I already sent two other friends to the salon who had equally gratifying experiences!
Overall this place is my new favorite, I can tell it will be for years to come!
*The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a little difficult to find (Look for the sign with pink lips!) and there’s not much customer parking. But really who cares about finding parking when this salon can give you your groove back!!! LOVE this place! Thank you Pam!
