I was in need of urgent demo regarding asbestos and they pulled through in 2 days for Saturday work on three jobs! These guys were amazing, and for a come back on additional work they were in and out in a few hours with on-site clearance. James was the overseer, and Bruce/Matthew from RAREFIED worked with PWStephens on air clearance. They are competitive in price and great with communication. Thank you guys for all your hard work… especially at such last minute and a SATURDAY. 5 stars +++

I stumbled on these guys by accident. Normally I like to see good Unilocal reviews first. I contacted Bell Acoustic, a different company(I think), because it was time to get rid of my popcorn ceiling. They gave me an estimate, IF there’s no asbestos in it. I thought I had a test somewhere, so they said send it to us or call back, because we can get someone out there to test it for you. Great! Because I couldn’t find any test results, and I don’t know where to start to get it tested. So Bell directs me to PW Stephens and the guy Mitch who calls me back(who is later identified on his business card as a «Sales Estimator») seems a little put out: «well who referred you to me? Did they say it’s a free test? Are you really serious about taking on the expense if it’s positive?» He comes to my house and explains that if it’s positive, I’ll hear from him; if it’s negative, Bell will get the report and I’ll hear from them. Guess what? It’s positive. And Mr Estimator leaves a message with a sizeable estimate. I get it, a lot of work, a lot of regulations. Because I have to move all my stuff out for this hazardous job, I start looking into getting other projects done, like painting and flooring. One of my contractor friends says, «well let’s see the report.» Huh, yeah — I need to get that. I called PW Stephens for a copy of the report, and Mitch gets all defensive that he carefully disclosed to me that the report would not be released. Apparently not clear enough! I can’t even pay for his services and the report. I asked(all the while he’s interrupting me with his defensiveness): why would I pay so much money for abatement, if I can’t see the report? And he answered that I shouldn’t have had him to the house if I didn’t trust him. But I had him out based on BELL’s referral, and I trusted Bell from their reviews!!! In their defense, he said I get to see the report when I sign the abatement contract. Right!
