Penelope the Clown

Penelope is definitely one of the best, most professional, sweetest, and prettiest clowns in San Diego. I’ve seen her at multiple parties, IKEA, and a few restaurants around town so I think I’m pretty confident with this review.
I’ve spoken to her personally a few times — she’s wonderful to speak with; answered all of my questions, provided details on how the whole «hiring a clown» thing works so I knew what to expect, and was even entertaining me as we discussed all the «business» details! It turns out she even teaches and trains others in the clowning arts, so you know she must be pretty experienced.
Of course, Penelope’s face painting is some of the best I’ve ever seen too. It was so exciting to see what beautiful and creative design she came up with next. I could watch her paint all day. And, of course, the kids just love her. She talks to them about topics they love (school, TV shows, actors and singers, etc.), is always cracking silly jokes, and giving them sweet compliments. She does this even while painting one child’s face — so every is entertained even as they’re waiting.
I can definitely say you’ll never go wrong having Penelope the Clown at your event. What’s great is that you can always check her out in person since she’s always around town. She’s at Que Pasa Mexican Grill in Rancho Santa Fe almost every Friday offering free face painting — definitely the reason I go there a few Fridays every month.
