Best Mexican food around! Street tacos are the best. Haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet!

The staff is awesome. The food is excellent. I am really anxious for the drive through to reopen; sometimes repairs take a while. :)

Upon the first sniff of the aeromatics I feel like doing a line of this Caldo de Res nectar; the spirit of each ingredient flows through me before I even take the first eye-​closing sip… a sip of just the broth… boiling hot — it warms my throat, my chest, my belly, and my essence. Sinus-​ear-​cold-​whateverthefuck be gone

I like this place because it’s convenient and has a drive thru it’s very close to my house and the food is very good. one thing I can say they really need to work on though is there a customer service. There is one lady that is very good but all the other ladies that work there are very pushy and don’t ask you if you need anything and just try to rush you out. one time they handed me my food and didn’t ask me if I wanted sauce or anything and I had to wait there for 10 minutes before she came back to the window and realize that I was sitting there waiting. It also takes a very long time in the drive thru so if you’re expecting to use the drive thru I would turn your engine off because you’ll be waiting a while.

Number 6. No. A Number 15. Wait… a Number 2… DANGIT~! A carne asada burrito and five rolled with guac. Really — It doesn’t matter what you order here, it all comes out in an amazing out of place authentic San Diego style Mexican meal. Off the beaten path on Olde Highway 80 deep into East County’s Unincorporated El Cajon Rosarito’s sits alone on the side of the road with a small parking lot and back alley drive-​thru. Though to get here you have to pass a handful of not-​so-​great taco joints that any other unsuspecting tourist in the area would pull off and enjoy their unauthentic food and bringing a poor name to East County’s taco shops. As you walk into this simply adorned restaurant you are met with a friendly-​to-​the-​point smile and greeting. A photo menu posts on the wall, but as all locals already know, you don’t need to spare a glance at it. Order what you like, and they have it. True mexican without being over greasy, over fried, or under flavored. From a simple bean and cheese burrito to the seasoning of the carne asada, you are promised a meal that tickles your taste buds and sets your cravings to rest. Many locals use the crude drive-​thru option, though be prepared to wait for a few minutes as everything is made to order and placed freshly into the bag before being handed out the window. Rosarito’s No. 6 is a staple in my diet for the past ten years now. Never changing. Never fading. Always consistent great food.

All I can say is we use to go here once a week now they have new owners and the place went to *****.

This place is convenient because it has a drive through. I like the Rosarito Burrito (Shrimp and Carne Asada).

I have been here a few times and have never been impressed. They take forever even when they aren’t busy to make your food. I place my order this last time only to be over charged when what I ordered was right there in her view with a picture and a price. I wouldn’t say the food was all that great just conveniently close to my house. I literally ordered my food with only two cars ahead of me one time and waited over a half hour literally like 45 minutes to have the two cars in front of me leave like I should have done but it ended up being one of those situations where u don’t want to leave because you have already waited so long and ur just off work ready to get home. When I paid for my food it didn’t come out right away still and when I got home it was cold and I had no desire to finish it. Waisted money and time to many times to ever go back especially for the prices and quality I’ll go way further to get better food from now on. Truthfully by the time I go the extra distance and get home I would most likely still be waiting there.

I usually love this place, but this time I found 2 long black hairs in my burrito, not to mention the food was extremely bland. I am sad and disappointed to say that I will not be visiting my favorite taco shop in the area anymore…

We finally tried here because it was convenient. My son likes sombreros. This place is so delicious and authentic. very friendly and affordable! Huge portions! Try the hot tortilla chips!!!

Well the tostada supreme I ordered at # 6 was pretty good but I was surprised at how much it was drowned in shredded beef, I guess the cook doesnt have a clue of how much beef costs nowadays but I think management needs to keep an eye open on such things or they could go broke that way.
Even though all the good tables were dirty, I managed to find one that wasnt too bad and with a good view of the mexican soap opera on the tv and even though it was in spanish, I found it entertaining, maybe because it was the day before Cinco De Mayo, LoL.
For four o’clock in the afternoon they did have several customers in the restaurant and I take it they had a busy lunch rush as my Sprite out of the cooler was not cold but closer to room temperature, but what was a bit irritating was that the cashier was chatting away in spanish to the cook, but it wasnt the spanish that was annoying but that she was chatting away pretty loud thoughout my dining experience.
Did I mention that tostada was tastey.

The best Mexican! California burritos are so fresh, we ask for no lettuce. Mouth is watering just thinking of it!

Okay, so this place does have pretty good food. BUT that being said. Don’t even bother trying to order your food at the damn speaker box. There is only one girl that speaks good English. You end up so frustrated you pretty much just want to ram into the car in front of you. Every time, I have to pull up to the window so I can make sure they have any idea close to what I said. SO, I pulled up to the window and ordered a bean and cheese quesadilla, with tomatoes and lettuce inside. She looks me straight in the eyes and confirms what I said. I get alllllll the way home. Guess what I got! A god damn cheese quesadilla!!! No beans, no tomatoes, no lettuce! But they didn’t forget to charge me for all of it! So then I drive allll the way back. I tell her my situation. She takes it back to the cook and comes out a few seconds later and hands me the box. They didn’t even have the decency to make me a new one! Mind you the cheese is totally cold by now so pulling it apart to show her already caused holes to rip in the tortilla. I had them make me a brand new one. And it was delicious. They probably spit in it. But it tasted good!

Let me start by saying they make some really awesome food here. And one of the girls at the window does a really good and is very nice. BUT, God help you if the other one is working. Forget about ordering at the window. She will not understand. But even after ordering at the window and her repeating everything back, it is just so wrong. Every time. If she is working (you’ll know right away) just drive away and go somewhere else. Not worth it. Good food though…

Great service. Free chips. I got the three rolled taco combination número 20. It was great. We also got the California burrito. Magnificent. My son got the shrimp burrito. It was enormous.

Came in for my work lunch break. I was greeted happily by the waitress and my order was taken swiftly. The inside of the restaurant, including the bathroom, was clean and had a nice small of food!
I ordered the chicken quesadilla to go and my food was finished quickly while waiting for my food I was outside in my work vehicle and the waitress actually came outside and delivered my order to me!
The quesadilla was absolutely delicious! It was also a lot more food then I expected. 100% worth the $ 6! If I am ever in the area for work again I will be returning for sure!

Love this place! Great cheese enchiladas. Good service. Not one complaint. The rolled tacos are one of my favorites.

My boyfriend lives out in Blossom Valley, and we always come here to get the best mexican food on our way back out to the city. The service is always great, all smiles and happy to help us in any way we can. It’s your typical dine-​in fast food restaurant, so it’s not all fancy inside or anything, but the employees check on you when you decide to eat inside.
The food is great, though I’ve only ever tried their veggie burrito! My boyfriend loves their classic bean and cheese burrito. He doesn’t particularly like their horchata, but I haven’t tried it myself. My boyfriend is picky, so don’t take his word for it!
I recommend anyone out in the Lake Jennings area to try this place out if you need a quick bite for lunch or dinner! It’s great!

This place is awesome, there are better. But none more convenient or consistent. This is my go to place when its family night, everytime i go here i know it wont suck and my order will be complete and accurate. Been coming here for years and even had them cater my 30^th bday. Great food.

This is a good place to get some Mexican food at reasonable prices. The food is good and the place is nice and clean. The menu has what you would expect plus a few extras.
Sometimes I find the food a bit too greasy, but all in all it is a good place and we frequent it quite often.
The drive thru is a plus if you just want to get your food to go.
