I like this place they have the best fish tacos ever and they have really good salsa bar and the prices good for everyone I didn’t try that other stuff that they have it but I’m sure it’s good like there wonderful tacos

This Rubio’s and the other one at Grossmont Center are the best locations of them all. The service is always great, the food always hot, full side portions, and the atmospheres are peaceful and relaxing. Plus, today I got a free reusable bag made 100% from recycled plastic. Yay! These places are always busy and I love stay to chat with friends even after we’ve finished eating. Come here if you’re looking for a great lunch at an affordable price with fast service. You won’t regret it!

When I ordered their salmon fish tacos I received two salmon fish tacos that had broken pieces of salmon in them. Also, the salmon tasted burnt and hard. The compensation with the coupons was fine, but it doesn’t make up for the fish tacos.

Have to thank Manny the manager for great service. I received the two steak combo plate that wasn’t all that great so when I got home I called Manny to tell him about it. He gave me a replacement meal today and it was delicious thank you for the great service Manny

I hadn’t been to a Rubio’s in many years … my husband cooks some awesome fish so I don’t often seek it out when eating at a restaurant.
That said, I decided to order a California salad w/​chicken. It was pretty good, plenty of chicken & guac to satisfy my hunger. I didn’t eat all the rice (it was fine) and I was happy I asked for the chipotle sauce on the side — it would have been too spicy and I imagine it’s a lot of empty calories, too. The pico de gallo was plenty for me.
Nice that they have lots of inside and outside seating. It was pretty hot, so we sat indoors, and the temperature was comfortable — it’s bright and open and cheery. Server Tom was very friendly.

This is the kind of food you can expect at rubios. The service is great, that’s cause my server Carlos (Tuesday 8:00pm 12⁄29) was super rad. Very friendly service. Would come here again!

Instantly regretted ordering food when I saw how dirty this location was. Out of everything. Dirty counters, tables, floors. Cold food. Small portions. Ugh. Wont be back.

Rubios is the bomb BUT NOT this location. Waited 25 mins for 2 meals. Soup and tacos. They brought the wrong sides with fish taco plate. Forgot the avocado on the soup and everything was cold. I didn’t pay $ 20 and wait 25 minutes for cold fish tacos. The cashier didn’t seem to understand there was a problem with that. She said, well u got your food right?!? Wtf. I watched one other person go up and get a refund while we waited the 25 min. I ended up getting a refund and a meal voucher but only because I really pressed the issue.

Place was dirty, I asked for extra white sauce twice but still never got it, out of lids, sweet n low. Also didn’t rotate the limes, just put the new ones on the top of the old ones, also he was the cashier and handheld the limes cuz a few fell out…

Angela Kaye was super nice and patient with the customers in front of me. She is consistently great at her job. The dining area is clean but needs some help. They should have some more employees to help run this place. Food is good but priced a little bit high. $ 1.99 for small soda.
I usually get the original fish tacos but today I’m trying the Chipotle salmon salad. So good!
The lemons and limes look very expired (rotten)
But the salsas look okay. I got my order in just a few minutes. Salad was awesome :-)!

There’s only a couple things that makes me not want to return to restaurants, but my number one is bad customer service. The manager who brought my food to the table asked me if there is anything else I needed, so I asked for a fork and he told me that I could go inside and get one. This is just plain bad customer service. Other Rubios I have been to have had great customer service but definitely not this one. The person who took my order was nice and friendly, but I wouldn’t expect the manager to act this way. This review is no reflection of their food. I’d give her food 5 stars, but the manager at this location one star.

This place has gone down hill. I have eaten here many times but as of late something has happened. The food is just bad. The staff are friendly and never any bother but cold fish tacos just don’t cut it.

This place was good. I should come here more often. Healthier, fresher, middle of the road semi fast food. Not sure why they changed there logo and look. It was fine the way it was, well it was better before if you ask me (coming from a graphic designer mind you) but whatever.
Like that they serve there food on real plates and silverware. But they had the kids meal in a bag which was weird.
Wasn’t too keen on there salsa collection however. The mild red one just tasted like tomato sauce, the roasted dark red one was too sweet, the green one was just sour… The food in general however was excellente! My husband whined a little cause they didn’t have the «lobster» tacos, a specialty item they had before. Hopefully they’ll bring it back.
Service was great. Friendly staff. I like that it’s attached to the mall but not directly in the mall, so you can have the option of just going for the food without going fully in the mall to get there, which is what we did.

Working in the mall is sometimes hard when you are trying to eat healthy. Fortunately there is this Rubio’s because it is definitely one of the healthiest choices in this particular mall. This location is always a great experience! The food is always perfect, the employees are always friendly, & for the most part the food is always done very quickly (which is nice since I only get a 30min break) :) 5 stars to this location!

I love Rubios! If you want something delicious and light try their Balsamic and Roast Veggie Salad w/​shrimp. OHHHhhh sooo good! One of their best salads on the menu.

I had a run in with the previous manger glad to see she is gone.
The mange now is very out going and is out in the dinning area asking how the customer are doing and picking up the dishes
The lobster burrito was okay?
Ralph the owner of Rubio’s can do better
I’ll stick with the fish tacos that are over the top always

The food has always been great at any Rubio’s I have ever been to. This location is in a mall and is kind of annoying. In order to use the restroom you have to get a token from the cashier. Annoying. Today I took my daughters for dinner after a movie in the same mall. I paid with a twenty and the cashier, Steven, held it up to the light for nearly 39 seconds to verify that it wasn’t fraudulent. Seriously? Are you kidding me? Ridiculous.

I had a very nice pile of goodness for dinner here today. I went there part of a fun raiser for a softball league for one of my colleagues daughter’s team.
I ordered the grilled chicken nachos with all the goodies. The nachos were great. It had plenty of chips, well seasoned chicken, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and beans. (
) What the nachos needed more was some holy guacamole. The guac consisted of a dollop on the side of the plate. (

I poured some of their green salsa from their salsa bar onto the pile of nachos. The sauce was medium so it gave the nachos the perfect kick. The nachos cost $ 7 and some change.
The service was very friendly and polite. In fact, the girl at the counter was quite funny. The place was clean, but the salsa bar was in need of some attention.
