DONOTWORKWITHCESAR!!! I was recently working with your agent Cesar Espino, and I’d like to tell you my experience. I found a fantastic apartment on craigslist for rent — 4225 Florida St #2 San Diego, CA92104– I met with Cesar for the open house on Saturday at 12, I filled out an application and got him a $ 35 dollar money order from the 7⁄11 up the street. He instructed me to leave it blank because he had a stamp in his car. Then on Sunday night he called me to tell me that I had gotten the apartment and he needed an $ 1100 money order/cashiers check for a deposit. I made an appointment with him for Monday evening to give him the money order. Then it got weird, Monday afternoon I called him from my bank to get a name for the cashiers check, and he said that it had to be left blank and to get a money order instead. Which I did, but when I went back to my office it was not sitting right with me. How was I going to rent an apartment with NOIDEA who I was renting it from. So I did some online research and found that the apartment is currently listed as a short sale: . And then I did some more research, if it does get sold in a short sale the new owners have to honor the lease, BUT they can make your stay their unbearable. Or If the bank does take it, they do not have to honor the lease at all. This all seems like information that any ethical property manager or real estate agent should disclose to renters. Even more bothersome is I have no idea who actually owns the unit, or if they know that he is trying to rent it. I’d love to reach out to the owners, because I honestly doubt that they are aware of his activities.

I gave John Costigan 5 stars because he knows how to earn them. John showed up at our door unexpectedly one day, at a time when my husband and I were feeling hopeless and had given in to the fact that we had to let our beautiful home go back to the bank. John saved us from making a huge mistake just in time to find a buyer and do a short sale. We were able to sell our house and close escrow a few days before the bank was to foreclose. John is very efficient and professional, he knows how to get things done and he also manages to ease the stress of it all with his sense of humor and his work ethic. I look forward to working with John again in the future.
