This review is specifically for the strawberries and crème. Last time I came to this place the S&C were sooooo good and addicting, this was about 5 years ago. This have changed a lot since then. First the color of the S&C were an off-yellow color, not white like other places. Also my S&C didn’t have captain crunch inside… what happened? Maybe different owners? I miss the OG S&C recipe …

I Unilocaled this cute little spot in El Cajon. I ordered a create-your-own fresh juice, it was good, it was a bit pulp-y, but tasty! I will stop in here again!

I hardly write negative reviews. BUT! I ordered a camocha and I should have read the sign so my fault but it’s orange juice w fruit in it and a little granola and I think coconut. A camocha is supposed to be with Milk and almonds and fruit and a BUNCH of other stuff not orange juice!!! It was expensive already and then it comes out that way is ridiculous! Again my fault for not reading but who taught you how to make a freaking camocha?! I go to fruitlandia on university usually and will continue to go there after this place.

I wad craving an acai bowl but this did not really fit the bill. Just scoops of acai, sliced strawberry, banana and a little granola and coconut. Tasted good but not what I wad going for. Fruit salad is much better here. Swams is the leader of acai bowls!

The Juices and Tortas are are top notch… Where else can you get 32oz of fresh veggie juice for less than $ 6? No where. We need more places like this! Gets very busy at lunch though so CALLYOURORDERINEARLY!

If you are looking for a great chamango, then this is the place for you! It is much closer to me than any other chamango place, which are located in the South Bay Area. I always get the chamango or the Bloody Melon(which is the watermelon chamango) Love this place

My family and I have been coming here since they opened. Food is always great however this time around my order was wrong and the service was poor. After requesting my Escamocha be prepped differently, I was reminded by the young lady that«that’s how we make it». I understand every place preps their food differently however this was not the first time I purchased this particular item and I kindly asked to switch it out. At that moment I realized I was asking too much, I was given a very rude look and she reminded once again, that that was the way they made the item, I simply thanked her and the other person and walked out. Very poor way of handling the situation, the only reason they received 2 stars is because my daughters Chamango and Tostilocos were delicious as always.

I come here for the drinks. I’m extremely sad that I don’t live nearby, but it just makes my visits here much more special whenever I’m in east county for work. I’m always craving chamangos, but you can’t get any in north county! Staff is super friendly and always smiling! The chamagos and other chamoy drinks are really refreshing. They’re pretty generous with the amount of chaca chaca candy added. I had enough to last me the whole drink. The chamango is the perfect level of sweetness, and has the perfect ratio of Chamoy and pieces of fruit! I sometimes I get a large, freeze it for maybe an hour, and come back to eat the rest as if it was a sorbet… And it’s still good! Agua frescas are realllly good. I like how all the pulp isn’t strained out and theres a perfect amount of fruit in the agua. I like the strawberry one a lot, including the seeds in the drink! The seeds remind me of freckled lemonade from red robins, although the two drinks taste nothing alike. I regret not getting the corn because there are so many good reviews on it… I couldn’t find a Unilocal pic on it, I hope someone uploads! Will update review when I try more food! Update: TRYTHECORN!!!

If you are looking for a great chamango, this is definitely the place. I found this place on Unilocal when I wanted a a chamango and I was in east county and most of the places that have them are in the South Bay. The customer service is great and the drinks are great. Also their fruit with tajin is to die for. Pretty much everything on the menu will be a great pick.

I swear the Chamangos and tostilocos are always so inconsistent!!! I have been going here for years and those two are always so so …Never the same, each and everytime. Its gross and wastes my time when I take them home. I could care less of a refund because I have gotten one out of about 100 times I have been here. And it’s always the same issue for me. Maybe it who preps it… The tortas, fruit salad, and lentil soup are always on point. So I will go else where unless you have time

I’m always on the lookout for a healthy juice bar but Tropifruit is more for those who want a great liquid alternative to soda rather than true health enthusiasts. Their Acai bowl is a joke; it uses a ‘sorbet’ style Acai mix that is closer to ice cream than anything else. It might taste like the real thing but the high sugar content of their bowl defeats the purpose of ordering Acai/Pitaya style food. They do a great selection of fruit juice and their green drink isn’t a bad choice if going for health options. They do smoothies on top of real juice. I went here with friends who claimed to be on a health kick, but ordering peanut butter ice cream smoothies undercut that claim.

I come here often for their Aćai bowls. Aćai bowls are good for breakfast but just a sprinkle of fruit & granola makes it weak and skimpy compared to other places I have been. The price per bowl is right just need more fruit & different crunchier granola. I don’t know if they get any feedback or suggestions on it. But not having enough fruit or the right granola, may have to go to one another shop in the area.

Food is good but every time I order a sandwich with turkey, the turkey is always so dry like it’s old. Love the fresh avocados in the sandwiches. Wish jalapeños were fresh too and not the jarred stuff. Drinks are good!

My boyfriend absolutely loves this place. When we were in the area he was so excited to show me the fruit salad he’s been raving about for weeks. We each got the fruit salad which had a variety of fruits, yogurt, granola, and coconut shavings on top. It was pretty good but not the best fruit salad I’ve ever had in my life. All of the melon that I had in my salad was a bit unripe and didn’t have a clean cut from the rind so I didn’t really eat much of it. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Chamango but I wasn’t really a fan because I don’t really like tamarind too much. On a separate visit I got the acai bowl and tried my boyfriends«Bloody Melon» drink and these won me over! They give you 3 scoops of the acai with plenty of fruit on top. I had to share mine because I couldn’t eat it all and that never happens with for an acai bowl! The«Bloody Melon» was perfect because of the sweetness of the watermelon mixed with the sourness/spice of the chamoy. I enjoyed this way more than the Chamango. Now I know what to get for myself when I come back :)

This little place has a lot to offer. From smoothies, to teas and coffees, and a collection of Mexican sandwiches known as «Tortas’ and soups, there is bound to be something you like. I came in for a sandwich and soup. I ordered the«Especial» torta which came with sliced deli came and sliced roasted pork shoulder with a side of lentil soup for good measure. The torta was $ 6.50 and the soup $ 3, which are very reasonable prices. The lentil soup was quite good and came with bits of bacon. The bacon tasted good but for some reasoned it discolored into a gray color which looked odd in the soup. The lentils were tender and the soup overall was well seasoned and had good flavor. In the end however, the soup could of used more lentils. I appreciated the addition of the bacon with its added flavor. The torta especial was good. It came with and average amount of ham and pork loin. The ham was good and the pork loin was tender, but I could not feel that the sliced loin needed seasoning. It was quite bland in flavor and uneventful. The torta also came with tomatoes, avocado, and lettuce which were all fresh and good. The bread was lightly toasted and moist for the most part except for the two ends that were somewhat stale. A good torta, but season that pork loin to make it a great torta. Also, I wish they would put the traditional«Panela» cheese in the torta. Service was provided by a very nice young Mexican girls. She was soft spoken, very friendly, and new the menu well.

Great little spot for a fruit salad or tostilocos. The menu isn’t huge but has some good offerings. Prices could be a little better or serving sizes a little larger but all in all it’s pretty good. They often have groupons so that’s a plus! No public restrooms so come with clean hands and empty bladder. They do have a rewards program you can sign up for so that’s a plus!

Is it still fresh and natural if everything is pre-made and sitting in a freezer? Pushing this philosophical question aside, and fast forwarding to the review. I came here in my lunch to grab an acai bowl. Let me be clear, Acai is basically all coming from the same company so the base of berry all taste the same. The thing that really sets Acai bowls apart from other places is presentation and a couple extra hints of honey and flavor. I ordered a acai bowl with extra granola, and my bowl came out within 2 minutes of me ordering it, which tells me that this wasn’t made fresh from fruit. If you’re name has fruit in it, you should probably cut for every order, also the presentation was atrocious. Looked like a crime scene instead of a tasty bowl of fruit. The customer service was basically non existent. I initiated conversation and the cashier didn’t make eye contact. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the execution, service, and especially creeped out by the illuminati painting on the wall. I only tried one thing, so I may be coming off as a little harsh, but this wasn’t a pleasant visit. Maybe next time.

Been here a handful of times and they definitely make a good smoothie plus with good ingredients. As soon as you walk in they have a cooler packed full of all the fresh fruit they use for their drinks. So far I’ve ordered a Chimango, couple different Aguas frescas, the torta, a breakfast sandwich, recommend them all.
