Ken worked his magic on my mom, with a haircut that helped refresh her look. He meticulously cut her wavy, difficult-to-cut Asian hair into a stylish bob, and spent almost an hour and a half cutting and finetuning it to her liking. I was impressed that he didn’t rush her out the door, because there was a rush of clients all waiting for Ken. This was definitely a five star experience.

I am just really happy with the straightening Ken did on my hair… he took great care of my dry brittle hair and left it beautiful. I continue to come for a monthly treatment and for regular trims and I’m just happy with the result. My sister also had her hair straightened here and she is also really happy. One suggestion I have is that the have to have more communication with the customers. I felt kind of awkward having no-one to talk to during the four hour process. But again, the results were great for me. Thanks hair magicians!

Hey! For those who come here to look for Allen, he is no longer work in hair magician anymore! However, I just heard that he has moved to a new salon called Soho in Oakland Chinatown. I will attach the address in the bottom of my comment.
I knower Allen from a year ago from coming to hair magician to get my haircut. He is very patient and funny guy, compare to a lot of other hair dresser, he knows what his client wants. I always tell him what style I want and show him the picture, and he will try to follow and make some comments before he start cutting my hair. Thank you=)

I’ve had very good experiences with both Allen and Kevin. They are both very thorough with what they do and very helpful in letting you know what they are doing while cutting. It was sad for me to find out that Allen quit because he was definitely good at what he did. I think I will stick with Kevin now.

Eh… decent place for a last minute trim.
I needed a trim for my split ends lol and bangs.
Unfortunately my «½ inch» request became 2 inches off, but I guess I needed that unhealthy portion of my hair chopped off anyway.
Fairly cheapie.
Not under $ 10, but I paid $ 25 with tip

Allen gave me one of the best cuts I have ever had. I had an important job interview and wanted to look polished. My hair is Asian and European mix so most stylist don’t know how to cut it to look good and for the cut to last more than a week looking good. It has been about 5 weeks since my cut and I could wait another month, I just wanted to go in and get pampered again.
I have been to some very expensive high end salons around the Bay Area and in other states. I loved the cut Allen gave me. He seemed pretty young so I was a bit reluctant at first sight. I am so happy I decided to go with Allen. I have had many compliments on my haircut. It was a longish slightly layered bob with bangs. My hair has not looked this good in many years.
Everyone was really friendly and pleasant, which is very important to me. I plan to stay with Allen for a very long time.
