The Montessori Learning Center is situated below Trinity Church (but I don’t think there’s any affiliation). Elizabeth (the owner/​teacher) is fantastic. Years of Montessori training and teaching and she’s great with all the kids. Ages range from 2yr till about 4.5yrs. The other teachers are a great, diverse group who are kind and focused on the children’s needs and development. Parents pitch in with snacks once a month, you bring your own lunch and the kids get time outside at least, if not 2x per day. A great resource for El Cerrito, Kensington, Richmond and Berkeley. Early morning drop off (7:30a) and extended time (till 6p); but also offering ¾ days till 3p for those who need less time.
