Chilis Grill & Bar

Lunch gone bad! Sat in bar area. Waitresses were preoccupied instead of attending to customers. Waited a lonnnnng time to get refills and food took longer then usual. I staked the queso dip, chips, used napkins and extra cups for waitress to take and finally after third visit she took them. Our waitress was ok, really no personality. When food finally came out it was average. Although, we are rewards members this restaurant did not fit the expectation I have of Chilis.

CLOSING April 8. I went in March 20 to pick up take out and was informed by the girl working the take out desk that their last day open would be April 8.
This past Tuesday we had a family meal here. We’ve been coming to this Chilis since it opened and 95% of the time its been great.
I guess the staff has lost interest due to them all losing their jobs in a week or so. Tuesday night’s dinner was pitiful. Took over 12 mins for someone to even acknowledge us. 25 mins for my margarita to arrive and the food about 20 mins after that. My son’s fries came out way after our meals. The food was ok, definitely not up to the usual Chili’s.
Ran out of tortillas — no waitress anywhere to be seen. Sat twiddling thumbs until we just asked another waiter please go find our waitress so we could actually eat our meal. 5 mins later she turns up with somewhat of an attitude.
Tried to order a skillet cookie to go — no waitress to be found.
Wanted a box to put leftovers in — no waitress to be found.
So I sent the man over to the take out area to 1. Order a cookie to go, 2. Get a take out box, since there was no way in hell our waitress was going to get them for me.
Used the tabletop computer to pay — because — couldn’t find the waitress to pay our bill! I left a $ 1 tip. which I thought was generous for the horrendous service.

Service sucks. Rude from the first word.
Gonna finish this beer and never return.
Am I going to tip this hag… No. No tip for this angry hag.

The food here is great. It was four of us and the waiter took a while to come and take our orders. I would probably come here again.

Myself and some friends came here for dinner before going to a movie at the theater next door. We sat ourselves in the bar because some of us wanted to order off of the happy hour menu.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. However the service was not very quick. When we asked for to go boxes, refills, etc it took a while to get them. There was also some confusion with their table side payment system as it only allows for you to split the bill evenly rather than by order. When we asked the waitress for help she split the checks herself and then we used the computer to pay.
The food itself was average as were the prices. My friend and I split the 2 for $ 20 combo. We got the chips and queso as an appetizer and the cajun chicken pasta and spicy mango tilapia for our entrees. We were both satisfied. The rest of my friends ordered a variety of drinks and food off of the happy hour menu and they were satisfied as well.

Food — 5 stars, Wait time — 2 stars, Cleanliness — 2 stars. Overall around 2.5 stars rounded off to 2. They made all customers including us wait for like 15 minutes or so. But when we were finally seated, we realized that there were at least 20 free tables or so inside. Looks like they don’t have enough wait staff. And there were paper trash under our table.
But the food made up for other issues. It was the best food we have ever had at any Chilis. I got the Green Chili enchiladas with Chicken. It had an amazing tangy taste. TH got the Smokehouse burger which he liked. We also got a side of Mac and Cheese which was alright.
We had a good view of Town Center Blvd from our table, so overall it was a decent visit

Even though most of the restaurant is empty thwy took forever to seat us. There was no explanation for it. The hostess needs to concentrate more on her job and train later. Also giving her two people to train at the same time should not happen. I hope the server and food makes up for the horrible experience so far.

Come here 3 – 4 times a week and LOVE the bar staff!!! All the bartenders are outstanding!!! Happy Hour is great!!! Free chips and salsa during happy hour… food is good as well.

I have not ate at a Chili’s in years.
A group of 6 of us from the GWTA (Goldwing Touring Association — Chapter V, the Woodland RoadRunners) rode our motorcycles from Woodland to Chili’s in the Town Center in El Dorado Hills and it was fabulous.
I had the «Pairings», you get a choice of 2 items. I had the green chili enchilada, and the sour cream enchilada.
The food was very tasty and we had an awesome waitress !!!
The prices were very reasonable too.
I can’t wait to go back.

We went on a Friday night at the request of my little brother because he enjoys their honey crispy chicken.
We were seated quickly and were greeted by our waitress. She was friendly but not warm if that makes senses. She spouted out the normal greetings, tried to up-​sell throughout the entire night. «Want steak instead of chicken?» «Would you like a Strawberry Lemonade with that?» It gets old but i understand it’s her job.
At one point while she was taking our order she turned to another customer, whom she looked like she knew, and said «Hey punk!»
Food was standard bar fare. I had a salad that I could’ve whipped up at home. We enjoyed their warm spinach artichoke dip to start the table. Multiple times during our meal we just walked up to the waitress stand to retrieve extra napkins and cutlery ourselves because we couldn’t find our waitress. I will say she brought salsa at my dad’s request without charging us extra, that’s always nice.
The chicken, which a lot of us ordered, had a odd texture? Like it was flash frozen once it had been «grilled» then quickly warmed through. Not a fan.
They have those cool automated ipad machine things so you can pay without hailing down your waitress. It’s ideal in theory but it looked like there was a camera hole? I don’t know it freaked us out enough to make us flip it around during our meal.

The food is alright. It’s pretty standard dishes, but the service here is beyond Great! I love coming here because the staff members are always friendly to talk to! I’m sorry that I don’t know anyone’s names that I can mention, but every time I come into this place I’m greeted with a smile all the way until I leave. Amazing Service, Love it! Oh yeah, and their new machines that you can pay on are awesome. Pretty neat way to checkout and see where your tab’s at while you’re still ordering/​eating.

It’s okay food for the price, but I keep coming back b/​c of the staff!

I have eaten at chilis for many years, this chilis use to be good but since a year ago has gone down hill fast! I rarely eat here now and when I do the food is ok and the staff sucks! I have gotten very rude waiters and waitresses, this last waitress was super rude I didn’t even tip her… I am a very good tipper if you do your job correctly, if not then you get a low tip or none at all, if I don’t tip you that’s saying A LOT! I am one of the most laid back people you will meet… Anyways this place sucks eat elsewhere like petes across the way, has better staff and food!

I love their artichoke spinach dip and buffalo wings… also, happy hour isn’t bad.
The manager, Jason, is really sweet and funny. I’m happy that he stopped by our table!

Horrible food and service!
The portion size and quantity is ridiculous and overpriced!

We went to Chili’s only because I’ve got their Gift Card.
PROS:
Convenient location right next to the movie theater. Many choices of seating.
We liked the Molten lava chocolate cake Dessert.
They serve beer in mug!
CONS:
Dirty sticky tables. Noisy.
Waitresses — dumb kids without proper training, tried to push soda when we tend to order healthier drinks. Mixed-​up kid’s drinks order.
Many years ago Chili’s were famous for big portions of tasty baby back ribs. These days all portions become un-​American small. Full Rack is really not much of food. Actually, their website pictures of Ribs Menu are quite accurate. You can count how many ribs you will get. Don’t count on doggy bag in this establishment!
Chili’s are overpriced for amount and quality of food they serve.
You just feel how they try to squeeze customer to get their profit.
There are much better restaurant choices in town.

Another awful dining choice in the Roseville area. Terrible service, tired décor, very average food and and a management company that is lost in terms of what to do. They change the menu every couple months. Take off popular items and replace with «value» items then switch to something else. What does this place do well other than appetizers and drinks?
I know, piss people people off with their bad service and what always turns out to be a more expensive meal than you hoped for.

It’s a chain store… so what can I say.
We sat down and my arms stuck to the table. I asked the waitress if she could wipe down the table because it was extremely sticky. While and apology isn’t neccessary it would have gone a long ways. But nope.
Seemed all the waitresses were in a hurry even though they weren’t that busy. We observed serveral tables have the wrong food, and the wrong bills.
Our food was pretty good.
Wasn’t anything to change my opinion of chilis one was or the other. Hence my 3 star rating

Although it is not my favorite, I come here often because it is so convenient to the movie theater. The last two times I have gone my burger has been cold and wrong. I generally get the same thing every time. Black bean burger with lettuce and cheese. Nothing else. The black bean patty was cold and it had tomatoes, pickles and mustard.
When it is not cold and cooked properly, their black bean burgers are delicious. Their chicken nacho appetizer is also incredible.
The servers are generally nice but one girl in particular is wonderful. I’m not sure the spelling, but loni is the best!
The bathrooms are generally clean and the atmosphere is pretty generic, nothing fancy.
I wouldn’t recommend their margaritas because they are never strong and ridiculously overpriced. .50 cents per flavor.
But, if you are killing time before a movie — this place is perfect.

We’ve all been to Chilis. So, why even write a review?
Well, we had the most lovely experience at THIS Chilis, that the staff reall deserved to be recognized.
We were running a bit behind, hadnt eaten and had a tickets for a movie at 7pm. It was 6:15pm. We walked into Chilis and asked if they could get up fed in time and they said, «heck ya!»
We sat in the bar area, close to the kitchen, had appetizers, dinner, they sang me Happy Birthday and gave me ice cream and got us out of there by 6:50!
Awesome service! Thanks for the birthday cheer!
