This review is based only on our first few interactions with Vince and Russ. We are beyond impressed to say the least!!! My husband has been in constant shoulder pain for 8 years now. Every doctor wants him to either have surgery or pop pills. All the physical therapists he has seen haven’t been hopeful. You get the picture. We had nearly lost hope. A 30 year old shouldn’t be immobile. Russ has compassion and understanding that cannot be taught and immediately knew how to help my hubby. Tears of joy! With just one appointment we knew this was different. He and Vince are different! You are not a dollar sign when you walk in there. They genuinely want to help better your life and that is apparent when you first walk in the door. This is not your typical gym, it is more like the house of healing than pain! But I like the name because sometimes pain is how you become better– whether it is pushing through pain or overcoming it. We are so hopeful and encouraged. Thank you house of pain for giving us something we had thought we lost. We are loyal customers now.

This is primarily a review of Mini’s physical therapy services. This is not a traditional gym in any way as they appear to focus more on personal attention to provide strength training and sports conditioning to local area athletes of all ages ranging from(based on my observation) high school ages up to senior citizens looking to stay active. While the whole gym looks impressive in set up, and the various clients I spoke with seem to really like the personalized training offered, I didn’t use these services directly, so I will restrict my review to its physical therapy services. I worked with Physical Therapist, Russ Dunning, while he was with another physical therapy company in the valley, and I trust him so much, that I’ve recommended him to my wife who is now working with him after her recent shoulder surgery to repair a SLAP tear. He was and is still outstanding in every way. He is very intuitive in understanding my wife’s challenges to recovery and explaining what comes next. He takes the time to explain what is happening with the healing process, explain any difficulties she may see in recovery, and coaches her through her exercises to ensure she does them correctly. She has made good steady progress each week since she’s been there. He is as good as it gets! If you need help, he’s your guy. He is also very involved with sports conditioning. Thanks Russ.
