Friendly service and a quick bite while you have your car washed. Belgian cut fries with flavored ketchup and fresh squeezed lemonade. Great snack and quality ingredients you wouldn’t expect in a car wash snack bar!

What an amazing find! Healthy and gourmet at a car wash! Fast, very friendly service, and did I mention delicious? I will definitely be returning to wash my car but just because I want to try the whole menu!

If you pulled up here today you would find that it’s CLOSED! They’re looking for a bigger, better place. Hopefully still close by. Stay tuned kids, I’ll keep you posted!

FYI, update from their Facebook September 4, 2012 Hi Yawl: We hope you’re all well. Hey listen Sergio and I wanted to give you all an update: So as many of you who’ve been brave enough, we mean kind enough :) to visit us at the shop know, we’re busting at the seams here at the car wash. Our current lease agreement has expired and due to the lack of space, parking, visibility, and overall atmosphere here at the car wash we’ve decided not to renew. Anyway we’re going to be closing up shop here and taking a break while we scope out other locations. Thought we could just find that next right spot before we left here but it’s not working out that way. God has plans. In the mean time we’ve put feelers out to locals, brokers and the like. We want a leased space with all equipment: not an easy find. Plus of course location is key as well. So for now as of this coming Friday Sept 7th, Fry Guy and the Pit Stop will be wrapping things up. Be sure to join us before then. Now as far as catering goes we’re in full business. As a matter of fact that’s one reason we have to move is that we’ve got so many caterings going on we can’t keep up, with the space we have. So please keep your eyes and ears open. In the mean time we love you all, truly. You’ve touched our lives and we’ve met all of you for a reason. We’ll continue to support and work with Art Esparza, Executive Producer of your very own local El Monte Time Warner Cable TV3. He’s doing such an amazing job bringing the community together. We’ve got to be a part of that. As well, we’ll continue our work with non-profits in the community. Have got a few tricks up our sleeve to be of service. As many of you know, we’re here to make a difference and our journey continues. Will be interesting to see where God takes us next. All Our Very Best, Peter & Sergio, Sergio & Peter, and of course… The Fry Guy

Our office has had their food delivered to us a couple of times. Their fries are great and since I’m super lazy, free delivery places this restaurant in first place. My coworkers have complimented their salads, which I ought to try.

How wonderful is this place!?! The owners are so friendly and the food is freshly made as you order, so don’t be in a rush to get out the door, me and my coworkers order took 20 minutes to make. But it’s well worth the wait. As a warning this place is super hard to find and there needs to be better signage. But it’s inside the a carwash, so don’t pass it up or you’ll regret it!

I just had their cranberry feta salad with marinated chicken(extra cost) which they delivered to my office. I had to call Peter(one of the sweet and personable owners) to tell him that the salad made my eyes roll back into the back of my head! Even though he was in the middle of the lunch rush, he took the time to take my call and thank me for the compliment. Great food+awesome and warm customer service+prompt delivery service=my new go-to lunch gem!

I would give this place 2.5 stars if I could. There’s a couple of gripes, nothing horrible just little things that added up. 1. The food here is pretty good, reasonably priced, and has good sized portions. Like the name of the restaurant the fries are the stars of this place. 2. The kitchen is small, their fryer is one of the kinds you buy for home use. It isn’t one of those industrial/restaurant sized ones. This is a problem when you order multiple orders of fries. 3. My friends and I waited 30 – 45 minutes or more for our food to get to us. This is pretty unacceptable when you’re a burger/sandwich place. 4. I went on a warm afternoon, there was no A/C. Place could be pretty horrible in triple digit weather. 5. The huge refrigerator holding multiple different drinks was broken(at the time of this review).

GREATSERVICE + DELICIOUSFOOD = SATISFIEDCUSTOMER It was a bit difficult to find the restaurant, but getting there and having the best burger ever, was well worth the trip! I had a turkey burger and was able to personalize it with my own choice of toppings, so you’re pretty much able build your own burger or sandwich. The chef recommended grilled onions with pineapples and it was PERFECT! I’ve had other turkey burgers that were rubbery, too chewy, and just bland. But the turkey burger from here was broiled and seasoned to perfection. It was so juicy(salivating LOL!). I also had pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo added to my burger. It was part of a combo so I got pepper fries as well(Yummy Yummy Yummy in my tummy!). My husband had a veggie panini, his own creation, which was basically a panini with a veggie patty in place of meat. The chef was more than happy to accommodate his request. The panini tasted great and HELOVEDIT! We also tried their healthy tamales(if tamales can ever be considered healthy LOL!). They were made using vegetable oil(if I remember correctly?), in place of lard, which made the corn dough(masa) light and airy. I highly recommend you drop in for a bite, and experience their gourmet take on everyday menu items. We’ll definitely be returning for more! And maybe we’ll get our car washed too :)

Hi Everyone! To start off, the location of this establishment is located insie of a car wash in El Monte. There are few signs to help advertise the restaurant as well. However, once you walk inside the restaurant and smell the food that is currently being cooked, you will forget on where you are and just focus on your appetite and the big amounts of food. The service was great and they would help you with any questions you have for them. I even asked on how large their burgers were and they told me that the meat is 100% beef and that the meat does not have any«fillers.» So, you are eating what you expect to eat. As for the size, it is the regular sized burger, but the quaility of the burger itself is something that you have to experience yourself. For me, it was delicious! Also, you have to try the garlic parmesean fries! They’re AMAZING! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. I definitely know that my co-workers and I will be coming back! =D

The food is exceptionally good here — so please don’t let the location or surroundings fool you. Who would have thought of opening a café inside of a car wash? Thank you, fellow Unilocalers, for turning us on to this place. It’s definitely a hidden gem that is still waiting to be polished. We came here for breakfast. I ordered the pannini — sausage, turkey, egg and cheese. It was so generous that I could only finish half. My little one had the yogurt with berry compote — I got a taste and the berries were sweet and fresh. Their menu has a good variety of items that would satisfy many a palate. For those of you who need your morning caffeine jolt — coffee and tea are free! I speaking with Sergio and Peter — I could tell that they pay attention to detail and quality of their food. We returned the next day to order a sampler plate of fries to bring to my family — — generous portions of spaghetti, Mexican, spicy feta and plain fries. Sergio also gave us a sampling of his specialty ketchup — his own recipe of fresh tomatoes, sugar and seasonings. No high fructose corn syrup here! I’ll be returning soon again to visit with my family. You be sure that I’ll be returning to see the Fry Guy’s to sample more of their menu. Check these guys out! Come get your car washed, sit back, relax and enjoy some scrumptious food! Definitely a diamond in the rough!

Whoa! That breakfast panini was huge! Mercy couldn’t finish hers, so I just shared it 2 ½ days later and it tasted better than most places breakfast sandwiches fresh that day. I separated the bread from the filling, lightly toasted the bread… put the egg, meat, turkey, spinach on «defrost mode in the microwave for 1:30 and put em together and BAM, extra yummy! Nice to know that leftovers can be so good, even 60 hours later and 400 miles from the café!

At first I was afraid of trying out a a café that was located within a car wash — but after smelling these incredibly delicious smells after getting my car washed here a few times, I wanted to take a stab at it. I ordered their Belgian Fries with feta. The specialty(dressed up Belgian Fries) fries come only in one size that amounts to about $ 6. The fries came out piping hot on a plate and had jalapenos, spices, and a generous sprinkling of feta. They were so BOMB. I found myself scarfing them down without really chewing. They also happen to have various sauces to accompany their Belgian Fries. The tables are clean and everything is well-kept here. I wouldn’t have expected such a nice spot to eat inside of a car wash, but these guys make it happen =) I want to try their full breakfast and will be stopping by JUST to eat and not get a carwash. That’s how impressed I was.
